Well, I really don't think Billy was joking, I think he just threw in the "I'm kidding" part to prevent being booed during a show being broadcast around the world. I didn't see every performance of the whole Live Earth event and I understand that some, if not most, of the performers don't care about the meaning of the event, but Billy more than anyone else made it blatanly obvious that "We don't know what the fuck this thing is about, but we just want you to know we've got an album comin' out."

I think he was joking and that everyone's reading to much into it in an attempt to make something out of nothing.

i totally agree, it's kinda like the "billy was pissed" thing, I really didn't think he seemed any different than usual. He's got his moments of being happy and silly onstage, but most of the time he does seem less than thrilled to be there; tonight seemed the same as always. I really do think people are reading too much into his comment. Now, the whole, "buy our record" thing was a bit out of place with the people talking up the environmental issues, but when do we ever hear billy talking about that stuff anyway? It would've been weird to hear him up there waxing philosophical about global warming, and people probably would've complained about it if he did. The band has their first new album in over 7 years coming out in a few days, he's probably excited about it. I seriously do think he was kidding about the downloading thing.

i just edited the first post to add the BWBW video. I'll do the same with the others as soon as they're done. Which may be tomorrow because I'm falling asleep here...

nah, it's the source. The stream I was recording was out of sync :(
I tried to line it up, but my computer doesn't have enough ram, it kept jumping and hanging up while I tried to move the audio to match the video, so it was impossible (at least with this computer).

I knew when I put it up that a better version would come along; it was just for people who missed it to get a look in the meantime.
