I was just remembering when MSOTS came out and Billy had told the band they would make a metal album but the first one was gonna be pop. I hate MSOTS by the way HATE IT. It is an embarassment. Anyways these two songs really give me a Zwan album. What do you guys think. Maybe it's the lyrics? I just cannot connect to Come on lets go. The lamest lyrics of all time.

BTL looks like the only "dancefloor" song in Zeitgeist, quite Zwany, in fact. But (CO)LG might remind you just cause of some Zwan songnames, it's not that poppy imo.

Those songs may be reminiscent of Zwan's sound, but the rest of Zeitgeist has a lot of throw backs to '70s / '80s metal.

Bring the Light just about got on my last nerve with the needless and annoying repetition of the title within the song. Really, Billy, we get the point.

While I know a lot of people are going to take the opportunity to laugh at this, I have to remind everyone that it was 7 years ago that Machina was released. So, in my opinion, I'd have to agree with this statement 100%.

I can't tell if it's just because they both have the word "light" in the song title, but I always think of the song "What Light" off the new Wilco album whenever I hear this song. I think I might actually grow to like BTL if I could get that other song out of my head.

I agree that COLG and especially Bring the Light have a Zwan-y touch, but they wouldn't have fit well on MSOTS. I'm not sure they fit well on Zeitgeist either, but whatever.
