View Full Version : If Billy played Pumpkins, Zwan and Solo songs at shows Zerospaced 07-01-2007, 11:24 AM What would be the Ultimate set list. MisterSquishyHalo 07-01-2007, 11:34 AM Would any zwan/solo songs actually make it onto a ultimate set list? yoshinobu's revenge 07-01-2007, 11:34 AM 1. Spiteface 2. When I Was Born I Was Bored theeggofhope 07-01-2007, 11:36 AM Would any zwan/solo songs actually make it onto a ultimate set list? yes MonteLDS 07-01-2007, 11:39 AM first off, if it won't happen Iokanaan 07-01-2007, 11:39 AM "Mary Star of the Sea" and "Thecameraeye"...and that's it, I guess... theeggofhope 07-01-2007, 11:41 AM DIA and ToLoveSomebody For Your Love, Of a Broken Heart ravenguy2000 07-01-2007, 11:41 AM He should break out some zwan and TFE and rock them out sp style. I don't see why he seems so against that - it's not like he wasn't the one who wrote them. I mean I don't really care for TFE that much but just breaking out cameraeye out of the blue would be awesome. ravenguy2000 07-01-2007, 11:41 AM they haven't played any covers yet either, have they? ChrisChiasson 07-01-2007, 11:42 AM It seems everyone is listing two... Friends and Lovers El-A-Noy theeggofhope 07-01-2007, 11:42 AM i don't think they have, but they apparently teased a bunch of covers last night... andrewface 07-01-2007, 11:43 AM for your love ZephZero33 07-01-2007, 11:47 AM glorious chrysantheum cast a stone wilffiv 07-01-2007, 11:47 AM you'd have to throw JCC in there too, so i'd say lokicat czr 07-01-2007, 11:48 AM You Were Mine hnibos 07-01-2007, 11:50 AM Would any zwan/solo songs actually make it onto a ultimate set list? no... maybe mina loy Gossamer 07-01-2007, 11:57 AM "Mary Star of the Sea" and "Thecameraeye"...and that's it, I guess... yes that is it. cob84 07-01-2007, 12:36 PM MSOTS and Mini would be excellent (I know there is almost zero chance of him ever playing Mini again though :() Rockin' Cherub 07-01-2007, 12:39 PM it wouldnt have any zwan, tfe or zeitgeist stuff on it for sure Skylarq 07-01-2007, 12:52 PM glorious chrysantheum cast a stone cheers, guy! MisterSquishyHalo 07-01-2007, 02:14 PM I mean if the setlist is like 35-40 songs..yah..maybe a bone to Zwan or Solo but what about if its 20 songs? IEatMyFeces 07-01-2007, 02:34 PM Any Zwan song he played would be better than this Zeitgeist shit. Except for Pomp and Circumstances markpregen 07-01-2007, 02:40 PM chris cornell style.. that guy plays soundgarden, audioslave at his solo shows.. and with audioslave he also played soundgarden and rage songs.. he just doesn't give a fuck shadow47 07-01-2007, 05:05 PM Ultimate setlist (show would have TheFutureEmbrace light screens of course) ---------------------------(electric set) Bit 4>>>Ode To No One Glass' Theme The Everlasting Gaze I Am One Mina Loy Bit 5 Frail and Bedazzled Blue Skies Bring Tears Walking Shade I Of the Mourning Jellybelly ---------------------------(acoustic set) Tales of a Scorched Earth Think You Know Riverview Glynis If There Is a God>>>Stay (U2) Behold! The Night Mare TheCameraEye ---------------------------(electric set) Ride A Black Swan Chrysanthemum Shame Starz White Spyder Porcelina Bullet Spilled Milk ----------------------------(encore 1) Permanence Disarm Signal This Strong -----------------------------(encore 2) Siva Mayonnaise Jesus, I>>>God's Gonna Set...>>>Mary Star of the Sea>>>Pastichio Medley Edit: I know these threads are sorta dumb, but I was bored...it's a little over 30 songs, they've been playing around 30 (plus Gossamer) at the recent shows, so it's not overly crazy. i_adore_adore 07-01-2007, 05:16 PM well, from ZWAN I'd like to heeeeeeear "Endless Summer" really heavied-up. That's not even a real expression... anyway, also "Ride a Black Swan" and... hmm... "Declarations of Faith." I love the backup vocals on MSOTS (Paz has a schweeet voice!) and I'd like to hear how Ginger sounds. And from TFE... "DIA," "Mina Loy," and "TheCameraEye" are pretty much the only ones I'd want to hear... disappointed 07-01-2007, 05:22 PM Mina Loy, Camera Eye, Jesus I,/MSOS, Desire,Spilled Milk I mean its also Billys Songs werideatdusk 07-01-2007, 05:52 PM I don't see Billy ever playing Zwan songs, because they remind him of an apparently painful time. And TFE flopped, and the rock star in him probably kind of wants to distance himself from that album. Deege 07-01-2007, 06:00 PM The ultimate setlist wouldn't ******* anything from Mary Star Of The Sea or TheFutureEmbrace. However, I think a few songs by Zwan that didn't make the album were definatly good enough. Kahlo 07-01-2007, 06:12 PM any song by the Marked just kidding. The Marked are shit. Deege 07-01-2007, 06:19 PM I would love a show with a setlist like this (In no particular order I guess): Jellybelly Dross Frail and Bedazzled I Am One Bleeding The Orchid X.Y.U. Rhinoceros Here Is No Why The Everlasting Gays Hummer Porcelina --------------- Acoustic set --------------- To Sheila Thirty Three 1979 This Time Disarm --------------- Tonight Tonight Cash Car Star Quiet Bullet With Butterfly Wings Fuck You Let Me Give The World To You Today Drown Home Rocket Shame (2007 version) Ruby Ava Adore (heavy version from 11-29-00) ----------- Encore 1 ----------- Geek USA Zero Muzzle ----------- Encore 2 ----------- Cherub Rock Mayonaise United States xyumachine 07-01-2007, 06:45 PM I would be fine with DIA and Mini. Chuck=Zero 07-01-2007, 08:44 PM I'm not gonna makeup an entire setlist on this, but I will say I definately wouldn't mind 'em playing "Mina Loy" and "Mary Star of the Sea" at a show. shadow47 07-01-2007, 09:12 PM Fuck Mini. werideatdusk 07-01-2007, 10:52 PM there arent many songs from 2001-2005 that really fit Pumpkins. Early Zwan stuff like "Cast a Stone" and "Glorious" and then probably "Black Swan", "Endless Summer," and "MSOTS" off of the album. Then, "Riverview" and "Spilled Milk" of course. As for solo, I'd say "Mina Loy" and "Tilt," and maybe "A100" "CameraEye" and "Walking Shade." And I guess "DIA" would be the no-brainer. ltoolio 07-01-2007, 10:55 PM I would love a show with a setlist like this (In no particular order I guess): Jellybelly Dross Frail and Bedazzled I Am One Bleeding The Orchid X.Y.U. Rhinoceros Here Is No Why The Everlasting Gays Hummer Porcelina --------------- Acoustic set --------------- To Sheila Thirty Three 1979 This Time Disarm --------------- Tonight Tonight Cash Car Star Quiet Bullet With Butterfly Wings Fuck You Let Me Give The World To You Today Drown Home Rocket Shame (2007 version) Ruby Ava Adore (heavy version from 11-29-00) ----------- Encore 1 ----------- Geek USA Zero Muzzle ----------- Encore 2 ----------- Cherub Rock Mayonaise United States United States would be an excellent closing song. greedo 07-01-2007, 11:15 PM glorious chrysantheum cast a stone YES! They are probably my three favourite Zwan songs. Maybe add Never Give Up as well. But it isn't going to happen. That Sloth-from-Goonies-looking gimp should just release every Zwan recording he has. I bet he has heaps of studio tracks and soundboard quality live stuff in a vault somewhere. Prick. greedo 07-01-2007, 11:20 PM well, from ZWAN I'd like to heeeeeeear "Endless Summer" really heavied-up. I don't think I'd like a heavier "Endless Summer". That song has such an upbeat feel to it...heavyness would destroy that. I don't really think any of the MSOTS songs would appear in an ultimate setlist in my opinion. All of Zwan's unreleased stuff is leagues ahead of most of the album material. As much as I love the Zwan album, it's pretty much a collection of the 12 worst Zwan songs plus El Sol and Come with Me. gossamer1234 07-19-2007, 12:44 PM riverview spilled milk if there is a llama 07-19-2007, 12:50 PM I'd want a Jesus > Bullet jam. Just so we could call it "Jesus with Butterfly Wings" sweter33 07-19-2007, 12:56 PM I'd love to hear "Glorious" once more live, even on a bootleg. And of course "El-A-Noy", "For Your Love" and "Mina Loy" could be there as well, they could easily be pumpkins classics. |
