View Full Version : This whole new songs thing is really really cool
msevrens 06-27-2007, 03:11 AM I mean, we can listen to them without spoiling the album cuz they wont be on there. And its cool to see them progress. First day, ? was acoustic, then he added ginger and jeff and the third day it was electric. I think thats awesome. ITs just cool to watch these songs progress. I like it.
Speaking of which, as soon as someone has a vid of ? electric post it here!
cork_soaker 06-27-2007, 03:16 AM harmonics?

DoomsdayRocket 06-27-2007, 04:00 AM this i think is one of the coolest things any band ever attempted to pull off live.
and the pumpkins are the only band i expect to succeed at this....
that's just amazing!
Travis_Wright 06-27-2007, 04:03 AM not a fan of ?, however "i don't mind" would be a killer b-side for "that's the way"
Cool As Ice Cream 06-27-2007, 04:07 AM I mean, we can listen to them without spoiling the album cuz they wont be on there.
you're afraid to listen to the new album songs?
harmonicas would also be acceptable

JRiordan 06-27-2007, 04:21 AM you're afraid to listen to the new album songs?
"Is everyone afraid"?
Actually the only listening I've done was the Chicago party. If not for that I woulda remained a Zeitgeist virgin until 7/10.
You Said 06-27-2007, 04:24 AM "Is everyone afraid"?

you are a virgin alright.
jjbjjbjjb 06-27-2007, 04:24 AM Billy still played it with an acoustic guitar on 6/26, so the only change is adding Jimmy. But you couldn't really even hear Billy's guitar for Jeff's electric, so I understand why people are calling it "electric". We need a word for one acoustic guitar/one electric guitar...

how about going to one of the shows? rather not, you know, not to ruin the album?

If there were any Chicago shows before the album, I would've gone no questions asked. As it stands I'm going to 4 or 5 Fillmore shows. So yeah, I will hear the album before the shows, which was my original plan
Lyric 06-27-2007, 05:24 AM the new songs totally rock. so does the way they are being built upon from scratch. billy never ever ceases to please me in ways i didnt know he would or could.
