Which album/tour do you all think he vocals were the best/worst in, was thinkin about it this morning and I thought

I really don't like the way he changed his singing on TFE and Tarantula.

Agree, though I have a nasty feeling the Zeitgeist lyrics could be worse.

Best Album Vocals: SD or Adore, depending on my mood. the song "1979" possibly has the best balance.

Worst Tour Vocals definitely goes to MCIS era, sometimes they worked othertimes he just sorta screamed them along to the tune. His live vocals for Adore, TFE and Zeitgeist have all been pretty spot on.

I think the '97 European festivals he had the best live voice, which is odd considering how run down it must have been.

I like the MCIS/TAFH-era vocals; lots of emotion in his voice that was stripped away in the Machina-era and since.

I really don't like the way he changed his singing on TFE and Tarantula.

I can see where you're coming from. After comparing the way his singing sounded back in '95 & '96 while performing Muzzle to the most recent 2007 performance of Muzzle you can clearly see that it just doesn't sound like it should. It's almost as if he's trying to make his singing style too "proper".

Don't get me wrong, I think his singing has improved and works for many of the new songs.
