Argh, christ. I always was a firm believer in that the older Of Montreal records were the best, and that their recent output was ok, but not as good as Gay parade or Coquelicot.... Hissing fauna totally got me hooked, with Heimdalsgate, a sentence of sorts in kongsvinger and the past is a grotesque animal as standout songs. Haven't got a clue why, but great album.

Hissing Fauna is up there with the new Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, Kings of Leon, and LCD Soundsystem for my favorite album of the year.

hissing fauna took a while to grow on me. It is one of their most solid records in the end tho.

I still love satanic panic in the attic the most tho.

i saw lou reed at all tomorrow's parties a few years ago. it was nostalgic but not too good.

love the velvet underground though, perfect for any time.
