What no 500,000 to 1,000,000 million option?

Music industry is completely different now. No one is ever going to sell 10 million records. Or even 7 or 8

well, linkin park does. i don't really have an oponion on how many millions it will sell, but based on the tone of the single and it's accessability and just the name "pumpkins" itself, i would expect it to do extremely well.

no clue. a quick look at wiki states 15 million for their debut. anyway, your argument pretty much remains, since basically nobody sells that much

who really cares how many records they sell?
big numberws don't make or define great music or lasting art...

I am buying a copy for myself, and i'll probably buy several copies for friends...
if the rest of the world knew what was good for them, they'd do the same....

Considering MSOTS and TFE sold under 500,000 - and Machina and Rotten Apples barely broke that number, I think it would be pretty unreasonable to expect this to sell more than 1-2 million, and that's if they have a really big single. Maybe they can pull off a Green Day "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" kind of deal and sell 4 million after a decade of underperforming, who knows?

I could see it getting in the 1-2 million range because of it being a "comeback album," which should give it a little more hype than something like Machina, Zwan or TFE got.
