It would be better than every other NIN album.
View Full Version : If The Fragile were a single disc redbull 05-17-2007, 06:28 PM It would be better than every other NIN album. monkeyfritters 05-17-2007, 06:28 PM besides PHM redbull 05-17-2007, 06:29 PM it would be alot better than PHM, PHM isnt even best album now astrosfan719 05-17-2007, 07:01 PM PHM was the best until Broken came out...LOL. :D PkPhuoko 05-17-2007, 07:10 PM Agreed TuralyonW3 05-17-2007, 07:17 PM yes I agree. but I'm glad it's double so I can see the whole picture. although maybe it woulda been cool if it were a single disc and all the other songs were released as a b-side thing or something. astrosfan719 05-17-2007, 07:18 PM Pretty Hate Machine reeked of 80s-ness, like the beginning of Terrible Lie, Sin, and Down in It. TuralyonW3 05-17-2007, 07:19 PM c'mon guys, you KNOW a lot of PHM is pretty gay. Downward Spiral is easily the best. astrosfan719 05-17-2007, 07:19 PM Why does it being a double detract greatness? Sure, it had a bit of fillers, but about 10-11 songs on each album were great. astrosfan719 05-17-2007, 07:20 PM I agree, a lot of PHM was not good at all. 1. The Downward Spiral 2. Year Zero 3. The Fragile 4. Broken 5. With Teeth 6. Pretty Hate Machine TheMilstead 05-17-2007, 07:20 PM I made my own version of The Fragile awhile back with all my favorite tracks of the era. I tried to pay careful attention to the keys of each song to see which fit best together and edited them to flow into each other in some way or another...tastefully, of course. It turned out sounding pretty cool. Here's the tracklist: The Fragile 2.0 01. the way out is through 02. we're in this together 03. just like you imagined 04. the new flesh 05. starf*ckers, inc. SOUTHERN MAN (soloing guitars and awesomeness) ETC ETC I BELIEVE IN YOU BLAH BLAH KrazeeStacee 05-17-2007, 10:43 PM I don't know how you can trash talk Pretty Hate Machine. Maybe it's just sentimental attachment but that album is sexy as hell. dudehitscar 05-17-2007, 10:53 PM pretty hate machine is really dated sounding. Very poppy. Boring too. KrazeeStacee 05-17-2007, 11:03 PM No way. I mean, they've definitely evolved but it still fucking rocks. Psh you people don't even know what you're talking about! :noway: myosis 05-17-2007, 11:14 PM 80's indochine albums sound more dated than PHM but they're still cool Eulogy 05-17-2007, 11:42 PM I think it could do without: Pilgrimage No, You Don't Where Is Everybody The Mark Has Been Made Underneath It All Ripe With Decay I was sort of with you until the last three. I guess Ripe With Decay is kind of useless, but I like it. and The Mark Has Been Made is awesome. I always get disappointed when I listen to the album version, 'cause i always forget it doesn't have that rockin' out part at the end. anyway. too much good shit to be a single album. redbull 05-17-2007, 11:43 PM Yah, Ripe With Decay is decent but it always just seemed too long to me. COG 05-17-2007, 11:48 PM I can appreciate that it may have been stronger as a single album, but I love the flow of the album, and I enjoy the "filler" tracks bridging the songs together. TheMilstead 05-18-2007, 12:02 AM what is La Mer (version)? How does it differ? La Mer (Version) was on nin.com years ago as a free download. It's a remix sorta thing just like the other "Version" songs. TheMilstead 05-18-2007, 12:03 AM I always get disappointed when I listen to the album version, 'cause i always forget it doesn't have that rockin' out part at the end. After I bought the DVD, I haven't been able to listen to the album version since. Mr.Deadite 05-18-2007, 12:30 AM With_Teeth is far and away their best album. Mr.Deadite 05-18-2007, 12:33 AM Just kidding. Ol' Couch Ass 05-18-2007, 01:09 AM The Fragile was really good music for drearily doing drugs. When that album came out I would stay holed up in my dorm room with my college girlfriend doing the pot and getting tatered on goofballs. I don't know if I still have the mental endurance to do that sort of thing anymore. D. 05-18-2007, 01:16 AM holla <img src="http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/8900/hollaxo9.jpg"> lol astrosfan719 05-18-2007, 08:47 AM With_Teeth is far and away their best album. I'm glad that was a joke. astrosfan719 05-18-2007, 08:50 AM because you've proved in 66 posts that you're one of the 5 dumbest people on the planet Honestly, if your picture isn't a picture of a child you've raped, you look like your 15. Possibly 16. So shut up. Pretty Hate Machine is very dated, poppy, and just doesn't fit Nine Inch Nails at all. They're not a radio band, a PHM was about as radio-friendly as any band can get. KrazeeStacee 05-18-2007, 10:27 AM WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIT A MINUTE! HOLD THE MOTHERFUCKING PHONE... Did you just say that Pretty Hate Machine just "doesn't FIT Nine Inch Nails"?!?!!! Oh god, please leave right now, thanks. TheMilstead 05-18-2007, 04:29 PM Pretty Hate Machine is very dated, poppy, and just doesn't fit Nine Inch Nails at all. They're not a radio band, a PHM was about as radio-friendly as any band can get. I cannot understand how you get this. PHM is just as much NIN as any other record. |
