if you control it and know how to use it, it can be.

the tv buzzing on mute mode can be an instrument.

okay, feedback from a guitar. you win.

I'm fascinated with Lorenzo's response

I think he's trying his hardest to imagine an album he's going to love, maybe one with really bitchin' guitar solos and the like, but something is preventing him from imagining that perfect record

Instead, some manifestation of his darkest fears drives him to hear the album starting with a wimpy piano part

I send this smile over to you, Lorenzo, my heart reaches out to yours

May your heart be calm and your guitars bitchin'

the intro will be a 30 second drum solo that transitions perfectly into the first song. cause if billy is serious about this thing he needs to realise that if anything he's not working jimmy hard enough. every song need to sounds like he's trying to top the drums on cash car star.

No matter how good Jim's parts are in the studio, he'll certainly be able to blow them out of the water in a live setting. :) So my guess is drums!

I'm sure it'll be Billy giving the listener a lecture about how important this music is to him, and even though they bought the CD, and are in their own home or car, they should shut the fuck up and be respectful.

If he hears any talking or shenanigans he will remotely delete the remaining contents on the disc and make you buy it again.

Spoken word intro by Corgan:

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life. Electric word, life. It means forever and that's a mighty long time. But I'm here to tell you there's something else - the afterworld. A world of never-ending happiness. You can always see the sun, day or night. So when you call up that shrink in Beverly Hills, you know the one, Dr. Everything'll-Be-All-right, instead of asking him how much of your time is left, ask him how much of your mind, baby. 'Cause in this life, things are much harder than in the afterworld. This life you're on your own. And if de-elevator tries to bring you down, go crazy - punch a higher floor."

But what if it's the sound of Jimmy belly-flopping onto the floor piano from Big, run backwards and fed through the gain stages of every amp Billy has ever recorded with and piped through a PA into a room full of gongs which all begin to resonate and feed back into the amps?

I disagree. I remember the first time I heard the Everlasting Gaze, which I think was a song meant to epitomize the "return to rock" everyone was hoping for and say loud and clear that Jimmy was back and ready to rock. I thought that Machina would be the greatest fucking album ever if all the other songs had a similar feel. But they didn't. I think the Pumpkins have always been at their best when they think they have something to prove. And at this point, they need to come out and prove that they're the Pumpkins and that they're back...

It's a sample taken from Billy's personal mini-cassette recorder (think: TAFH). It's a whispered cryptic message that loops 7 times and is shrouded in white noise and tape hiss... this is overcome by bleeding guitar feedback that builds with relentless tom rolls from Jimmy into a wall of death rock madness that lasts 77 seconds and then- abrupt silence. Out of the silence Billy screams "I AM THE ZEITGEIST!" ...
