The weird serbian word for papa is tata so I call him that. I call him dad in english and I call my mom mom in english. In serbian I call her mama.

my mother by her first name, almost always. haven't spoken to my dad since i was about 12.

i've never called my mom and dad anything but mom and dad. like, ever. i think i called my mom "judy" just to mess with her once.

i almost called my mom a bitch one time but i'm way too afraid of my parents to actually say it, so i just said something like "acting like a bitch". this was like, maybe 6 months ago. i'm 24 and respect the 'rents too much to call them anything but mom and dad.

though we were never taught to say "sir" and "maam" to them, like some people i know.

Same here. They also never stressed me calling anyone else "sir" or "ma'am", either. Or at least, they never got angry at me for never saying "sir" or "ma'am" to anyone. ever. I never even used either word seriously until probably a year ago.

we used to call my friend's step-dad 'the steakeater' because he'd sit on the couch with a plate of steak reseting atop his fat belly while the rest of the family ate hot dogs and beans

my mom once let it slip that she thought snoop dogg was "an attractive guy", so we teased her about that for a while.

she tried to backtrack and say that she saw an interview with him and he "was too high and stupid", but every once in a while we still bring it up and she denies ever liking him.

when i was in high school there was a party and it was being supervised by parents. there was weed alcohol and all that crap, the cops came once and the parents told them not to worry.

but after that, the parents got completely shitfaced. it was soooooo weird, particularly the mom. she was acting like she was 16 again or something, she was a nice mom but im sure she made a bunch of us feel pretty uncomfortable.

aside from that fucking awesome party though.

when i was a junior i went to the seniors grad party and it had weed and booze and when the cops came they took the parents to jail.
