View Full Version : Experience with American Express cards?

So, my Mastercard expires in a few months, and I'm thinking about getting an American Express card so I can start raking in JetBlue miles instead of the American Airlines ones I'm currently getting.

Does anybody have experience with AE? Are they a decent company to work with? I don't charge insane amounts of money onto the card ever, but just like to have it in case I need it.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

danke.

I used to have the Green Card, but it's a charge card and you have to pay it off at the end of each month and it has an annual fee. Their Blue Card is a regular credit card and low APR and they have amazing customer service. it's worth it if you can get it in my opinion. Lots of benefits and many ways of accruing points.

they only thing i can say is that when i worked for home depot it was the card that was used the least by the customers, if that says anything.

I have Blue, and it's a good card. My only complaint is that some smaller businesses do not support it (e.g. car shop, small restaurant), because it is to my understanding that it's more expensive for them to carry American Express than it is just Visa and MC.

Their customer support is very good, also.
