Pretty sweet view of some downtown buildings and stuff.

Oh and I met some girl named Michelle who lives two doors down.

I should stalk her.

this thread makes me think of the jeffersons theme song. you should play it while you move in or some other equally cheesy theme song.

not but seriously, should i stalk her?

she has a raspy, smoky voice which is usually a turn off, but she was cute. and she had a dog.

i'd say older, but i'd guess not by much. maybe 28.

i was just about to say something similar but rarely beat me to it. it's a perfect opportunity to get to know her without seeming totally like the creepy enthralled next door neighbor

D.
02-01-2007, 11:15 PM
same city, about 15 minutes away (though if it was 3am and no cars were out, it'd be 10 at the most).

lemme dig up that one pic i used.

you mean with the pillar-looking things? Bartle Hall, a convention center.

Back in the day (1997+98) i used to be a hot dog vendor, for all the conventionees and business men down there. time of my life.

i'm offended that the movie description (atleast on the back of the jacket) says a nuclear attack in kansas, when that is clearly downtown kansas city, missouri.
some of the mpvie does take place in lawrence, ks though.

but of course i own the movie anyway.

i watch it too. i always think of you but not for very long because i get into the show. it used to be dallas swat but i think they choose new cities for each season or whatever

D.
02-01-2007, 11:55 PM
yeah i'm not sure about the different swats. because like they have detroit one week, then kc, then dallas again, or sometimes two of the same cities in a row. i dunno. but yeah, .

just look at it! wouldn't you want to if you had nuclear capabilities?

D.
02-01-2007, 11:58 PM
not but seriously, the story is that i guess the rest of the us got hit, too. i;ve only seen the movie once so i consulted wikiwikiwhat

While the movie contains significant exposition via television and radio broadcasts explaining the onset of the war, the plot lies in the human struggles of the characters. The film follows several characters of various professions and ages through a nuclear attack on the United States, focusing on the areas surrounding Kansas City, Missouri, and Lawrence, Kansas. We are introduced to many characters, not all of whom survive the attack.

get some lamps! floor lamps are good, especially for me because the only tables that I have are the coffee table and my night stand. Heh.

Also, our cats use the same kitty litter :)

Man, every apartment I've ever lived in has had really bad lighting. I used to live in a townhouse that didn't have ceiling lights in any room except the bathrooms... :erm:

We have some pretty cool lamps in our house, but my main problem with them is that they only light a certain portion of the room sufficiently. It's really hard to get a lot of lamps to look good in the same room together. If you're doing anything on the computer/tv there's always glare. And if you're reading opposite a lamp, it's a major headache inducer.
