This American Life: the television show!

Perhaps you've heard the news that we're producing a TV show. Maybe you heard Ira talking about it during a pledge drive or caught the piece on NPR. And maybe you've had questions. What would a TV version of the radio show look like? And is making a TV version of This American Life even a good idea? Believe us, we wondered about all that ourselves. But now we're done, and we're actually pretty excited. We produced our first season of half-hour episodes. They'll start airing on Showtime, March 22. We think we managed to make a TV show that feels like the radio show, but isn't just the radio show on TV, if that makes sense. We hope that you all like it. We'll have news, information, clips, and more behind-the-scenes shots (like the one above of Ira and Adam Beckman on the salt flats of Utah) here in the coming months. Stay tuned!
