BURNER SHIT
basically the problem is that thing is way too unstable for it's own good. i get maybe one good disc to every coaster. Sometimes it hangs on the lead in. Nothing can fix this except for killing the power strip and rebooting cold. Other times it randomly dies due to buffer under run. Also, certain dvds will not burn past a certain point, and die at that point with each attempted burn. I'm using Nero 7 with buffer size set to maximum...

So this is the stuff that was purchased in February 2005.
ETERNAL THANKS to the following people:
Reece (Autumn Nocturne) - monetary support
Kevin D. - transfers
Matt (Punkishlyevil) - tracking/seeding help

If you're confused or anything, don't hesitate to ask.

This will be a 6x dvd tree. It will start in approx. one month. For those unfamiliar with trees, this is a good explanation: http://hyperrust.org/Rust/TapeTrees.html

SIGNUP STUFF:
There will be a US tree and an international tree. If there is enough interest, there might be a Canadian tree.

If you have a US military address, sign up on the US side

I'd like to preferably have at least one more seed. PM me if you're interested.

If you don't have a burner, SIGN UP AS A LEAF

If you're on any vine killers list I can find, don't bother with this tree.

Leaves need to provide discs for the branches ala B+P (or you can set up a trade, with the branch sending you these shows as their part of the trade)

Branches, when you sign up, please ******* how many copies you're willing to make, in this form.

1. Ben - [email protected] - (IL)
1a.
1b.
1c.

that would indicate that I'm willing to make three copies. Don't sign up for more copies than you're willing to make.

Now the fun begins. Please sign up in the following form: name/email/location. You will not be *******d if these things are not *******d. Copy/paste the existing people signups into your post so things don't get too messy.

Ben, what is the bug in CDWave 1.94?
it was the channel panning thing when upsampling from 32k to 44.1, I think we talked about it with 1990-06-16 and settled on dbpoweramp for our stuff.

if people need a branch in Australia i'll do it, but i'd rather jsut be a leaf, very busy that's all.

But if it means the difference between getting it out here or not i'll do it :) I don't know, maybe 10 copies? if i start doing it i might as well do a whole bunch.

the way i have ever done a tree was to split people up by closest branches to the leaf... that is what it looks like they are doing here.

ok an update:

i'm going to start burning shit this week. packages will go out to those of you with leaves signed up first, then to the rest as i can. and as soon as i can get an address.

Ahah, i forgot to mention that.

For those with no leaves, there may be reorganization into small, more localized trees (such as canada or south america). some people have to be willing to remain branches though for this to work..

Save yourself some trouble in the future. Get yourself a Plextor burner. I've been using the same CDR/W drive to burn who knows how many discs since 2001 - at least a few thousand. That and using nothing but Taiyo Yuden media, and I can count on one hand the number of coasters I've burned.

Please don't bail on this now. Maybe you could truck your hard drive over to a friend's house and use their equipment? Fuck, outsource it to India or China! It won't be as much fun trying to find all the shows online, and it only takes a couple sets of discs to get this going.

I'd like to get a copy, but I don't have a burner and obviously then cannot make copies. Can I get some leafage with someone?

Here's what's up:

I send an email out to the branches seeing if they can still participate - most have replied, and I am waiting on a few others. The discs are really scratched up, and I thought that #3 was the only bad one. Now that I have tried to transfer everything, I am just getting bits and pieces. I bought a disc recovery program for my macbook pro, when that didn't work I bought a brand new drive for my PC (I needed one anyway) and neither worked.

So here's the update: Redbull is gone until the 30th. I just shipped him an external HD that I bought (i guess I needed it also, haha) and he's going to transfer it and ship it back. That way, no errors - period. Once I have the HD back I will start a new thread with who is still on as far as branches, and give a week for people that missed it before to sign up now.

If your branch isn't involved in the tree anymore, don't worry. People signed up 6 months ago, and now aren't at school, don't have access to a burner, etc. I will be that branch for the seeds, and will open my branch up for whoever wants them. As long as I keep getting discs, I will keep burning.

There you go!

but you're handling the whole situation perfectly. thanks for everything!

man i can't believe that 6 DVD's could be so much trouble.

but yeah thanks for everything. If the NZ branch pulls out i can be a AUS/NZ branch if needed, but prefer not to, just busy.

Man, what a fucking waste of time. I just spent half an hour reading all seven pages to find that it's taken six months for someone to burn six DVDs. A DVD a month is not a good turnaround.

Give it up.

just sent a pm to redbull, I just finished my move to fargo. Sending the HD to redbull next week, the tree will follow a couple of weeks after that. Once I get the good copies I will re-upload them to the LMA.

Which leaves the following, which it doesn't seem I can get any other transfers of...
*tsp1996-05-15 FM #1
-I know I seeded this like 20 months ago on TTD. that version is fucked due a bug in CDWave 1.94. – full FM #1 is unsurfaced? Also, not sure if “unfucked” version circulates

-Fucked due to the same bug.
*tsp2000-04-26 TV #1 – video was on the hub when I checked, but no audio
-there was a 20 second dropout in the middle of the song
