laut.de also speculates about melissa joining the band, but I guess they're merely rehashing old news to fill up that poor article.

I am corresponding via email with the author of that text on laut.de, and he told me that he got "really really good sources" and I should "let the Pumpkins surprise" me. He also said that they're probably only playing on four or five festivals in June, July and August and mainly concentration on an own tour. I don't know what to think of that. :|

Likely around Berlin, Munich, Dresden, etc. We'll be traveling around. Put it this way, I'll try to be there if they are playing. I'll be in Germany anyway......and Austria. I have a friend in Vienna.

I'll keep this in mind! My brother has been to both cities before and our friend in Vienna [transplanted American] has lived there for over five years now so I'm sure they'll want to take me to a few places they know about......we're always open to new places though.

I've often heard "are" when it comes to bands generally because a band name implies multiple people....hence "they"....for example: "They are playing Lollapalooza" and "Placebo are playing Lollapalooza." I've seen that both in UK and US music press.
