It's like a watered down combination of Float On and Ocean Breathes Salty. This fucking sucks. That synth-trumpet part is lame as shit. Isaac Brock's voice really sucks too.

It just sounds like the rest of their shitty music.

i didn't think it was all that bad. not exactly what i was hoping for but whatever. i mean the album is titled 'we were dead before the ship even sank'. if that's not pretty much admitting defeat i dunno what is. it's almost like they've realized that they can't recapture those moments they had with lcw or this is a long drive... and really...man i dunno what's going on with them. but after 'good news...' i was really hoping for a return to what they do best. but i think that modest mouse has seen their day and it makes me really sad. :(

Lonesome Crowded West is their best, IMO.

By nature, Isaac Brock was only due to be in the spotlight for one album before he became seriously, positively annoying. It's time for the band to return to obscurity.

it's as catchy as the catchier stuff on good news but also as shittily produced and irrelevant. and the awkward singing is in there too.

i mean it's an excellent pop song. the only reason it's disappointing is because they used to write songs like Cowboy Dan and The Stars Are Projectors.

this song is not bad at all but it isn't what I would think of when I think of Modest Mouse...

the entire last CD was kind of a "ehhhhh well I like this CD but it's not what I wanted it to be" does that make any sense? I want more things that take a few listens to get into. I liked thinking "what the FUCK?" when I first heard some of their songs.

the song is alright, the opening guitar riff is pretty catchy but its definitely not a modest mouse standout regardless of what sound you want to hear.

good news is my least favorite album but i still love it. i dont mind them changing their sound a bit, but i hope the album is better than this. this song is ok, but im hoping for a bit more on the album.

lets not forget this song is the single, so it's obviously not going to be one of those insane epic shiver inducing mm songs we all love. i've heard live versions of about 6-7 of the songs, dashboard being one of my least favourite, and i still think it sounds pretty good cleaned up in studio. i can't waaait to hear invisible in your car, that was my favourite new one i heard.
