I'm a drummer about to get myself some drum mics for some home demo recordings and gigs, but im really not sure where i'm at with all the choice, i'm trying to compromise between price and quality and I'm not really willing to spend more than 300 euro (about $350-$375) for a set (with overheads and bass drum mic).

Right now I'm looking at these two:

SHURE PGDMK6-XLR (http://www.thomann.de/ie/shure_pgdmk6xlr.htm) for 449 euro

or

t.bone DC4000 Drum Microphone-Set (http://www.thomann.de/ie/the_tbone_dc4000_drummikrofonset.htm) for 279 Euro

is the shure worth the extra 200 or so? My setup is 5 toms so i'll need to get two more tom mics (or would I?).

anybody have any other suggestions? I have a friend going to New york in January who said he'd get it for me over there. are prices there that much cheaper? all the best mic makers seem to be european
any suggestions?
