After they lose to Oakland, the only teams with a worse record will be Houston and Arizona. I contend that right now, those teams would beat Pittsburgh on a neutral field.
View Full Version : Are the Steelers the Worst Team in the NFL? Boner 10-29-2006, 07:07 PM After they lose to Oakland, the only teams with a worse record will be Houston and Arizona. I contend that right now, those teams would beat Pittsburgh on a neutral field. Mexicola 10-29-2006, 08:27 PM Miami would compete for that honor. Boner 10-29-2006, 08:30 PM I would say the 5 worst in order of suckiness are: 1) Detroit 2) Houston 3) Arizona 4) Miamia 5) Pittsburgh San Fran, Cleveland, and Tennessee certainly have to be *******d in this discussion but Tennessee under Vince "Guhgree" Young doesn't look as bad, San Fran has promise on offense, and Cleveland has played teams tough. Travis Meeks 10-29-2006, 08:30 PM I think my Bills could easy take this title and my boy Losman would say something insightful like "yeah I think I can improve some" Boner 10-29-2006, 08:31 PM Oakland by virtue of winning their last two is out of the 5 worst. Travis Meeks 10-29-2006, 08:31 PM my boys lost to Detroit, give us credit where credit is due! Boner 10-29-2006, 08:32 PM Oh yeah, the team my girl affectionately refers to simply as Buff. God there are a lot of shitty teams this year. Boner 10-29-2006, 08:33 PM Yeah and Cleveland's point differential is only -20 compared to Buff's -53. Travis Meeks 10-29-2006, 08:33 PM awesome! jared 10-29-2006, 08:41 PM awesome! I thought I was getting killed. Well besides Reggie Wayne and Crumpler wally 10-29-2006, 09:21 PM Miami. Hands down. Why doesn't Saban get talked about in the same tones as Spurrier as far as college guys coming to the pros and stinking up the place. Spurrier didn't suck this bad in his second season. Travis Meeks 10-29-2006, 09:34 PM I like Saban wally 10-29-2006, 10:00 PM In his defense, he has a bunch of old farts on his defense and no running back to speak of. neopryn 10-29-2006, 10:35 PM No, but Roethlisberger is currently the worst QB in the NFL Trotskilicious 10-29-2006, 10:36 PM I think my Bills could easy take this title and my boy Losman would say something insightful like "yeah I think I can improve some" You're a terrible fan. Travis Meeks 10-29-2006, 10:42 PM You're a terrible fan. their 06 draft was horrific....they could have had leinart who will be a much better quarterback. Plus their carousel of coaches has been a joke and no, if I was a terrible fan I would be a Giants fan by now neopryn 10-29-2006, 10:44 PM i am a terrible fan. i'll watch the Steeler game next week because the Broncos are my second favorite team but it's too painful to watch this shit after that. Trotskilicious 10-29-2006, 10:54 PM their 06 draft was horrific....they could have had leinart who will be a much better quarterback. Plus their carousel of coaches has been a joke You know how I feel about your estimation of Losman. You have absurdly high expectations. HE WILL NEVER BE JIM KELLY. Get used to it, Jesus. Travis Meeks 10-29-2006, 11:09 PM You know how I feel about your estimation of Losman. You have absurdly high expectations. HE WILL NEVER BE JIM KELLY. Get used to it, Jesus. I never liked Losman. I knew he'd never be like kelly and I've never claimed any expectations. Bills haven't had a good coach or a good QB since the mid 90s. I can complain about this if I want to. Stop quoting me. I don't like you. Move along. Travis Meeks 10-29-2006, 11:10 PM and no, I do not know how you feel about my estimation of Losman, nor do I care. Sepiae 10-29-2006, 11:17 PM They are the dumbest. "Ben's gonna have to bounce back." Really, Cowher? Maybe he'd bounce back better had you sat him against one of the worst teams in the NFL. Trotskilicious 10-29-2006, 11:28 PM Stop quoting me. I don't like you. Move along. I don't like you much either. You're a great big pussy and when you get challenged you start to back down. Trotskilicious 10-29-2006, 11:29 PM and no, I do not know how you feel about my estimation of Losman, nor do I care. We talked about it last week, assmonger. You gave me neg rep. wounded 10-29-2006, 11:34 PM i was so pissed off at the cincy game. at least our offense is looking somewhat back to what it was last year. i don't know, i have to blame it on our defense, i think in the NFL if you put up 27 points you the offense has done its part. but yeah the steelers are looking rough, i just need cincy to win the afc north, big game against baltimore next week, but honestly the bengals schedule is pretty tough here on out.... wounded 10-29-2006, 11:36 PM and on a side note, i am fed up with the colts squeaking out these wins... Effloresce 10-29-2006, 11:57 PM No, but Roethlisberger is currently the worst QB in the NFL Indeed. I don't think he ever got time to really heal properly. First the accident and surgery. Then the surgery at the beginning of the season. Then the concussion. They are not giving the dude enough time to recover. To win against the Raiders you do not need an outstanding QB. You just need someone stable. Charlie Batch is just that. Cowher is a dumbass for letting Ben play, and they deserved to lose. The Steelers are an amazing team that are losing because of unbelievably stupid decisions. It pains me to see a team with so much talent being wasted on this shit. When things go right for the Steelers, you see results like the KC game. Yeah, KC is pretty bad, but they're better than the Raiders. At this point, Ben should just take a few weeks off so he can get better. Use Batch in the meantime, then have Ben come back strong with some fresh momentum that will hopefully soften the blow to the end of their bad season. In terms of reputation, this team is down, but not out. If we see more of the same next season, then I'd agree the Steelers as we knew them last year (and the year before that) are gone forever. But I wouldn't give up on this organization so easily. Trotskilicious 10-30-2006, 12:00 AM Hey check out Tony Romo! Ever 10-30-2006, 12:17 AM I'm just surprised that the Jets are doing as well as they are. At the beginning of the season I was expecting anopther horrible year from them but as it is they're doing ok. That being said they just lost to clevleand so... :( Anyway here's my take on the worst teams 1)Pittsburgh 2)Miami 3)Detroit 4)Cardinals 5)Oakland 6)Arizona 7)Houston Trotskilicious 10-30-2006, 12:18 AM Wow an Australian American football fan. I like you, Ever. Sepiae 10-30-2006, 12:23 AM and on a side note, i am fed up with the colts squeaking out these wins... God, I hope the Patriots make Manning fucking cry at the Razor next week. Eulogy 10-30-2006, 12:32 AM I really enjoy Al Michaels and John Madden. Good stuff. Ever 10-30-2006, 12:39 AM I think it was in the san diego vs pittsbutgh game a few weeks back that Madden tried to make some sort of comment by using coffee as metaphor for defence. It really went nowhere. Ever 10-30-2006, 12:44 AM Wow an Australian American football fan. I like you, Ever. Farout you know how hard it is to follow NFL or especially College here. The games are on when I'm at school and the replays are on late at night. And they're so impossible to watch cause ESPN fills them with advertisements and then skip out long sequences cause of "time constraints". Although the fox sports telecasts are decent so I watch them. But I mainly follow the NFL over the internet. My fantasy team won :D Michael Vick has been so good to me lately Boner 10-30-2006, 01:13 AM Who is your AFL team? Ever 10-30-2006, 01:18 AM Sydney Swans. Being a sydneysider I enjoy NRL more than I do AFL. Despite that I just spent all day today playing AFL for my school in some small galla day. Quite fun. Boner 10-30-2006, 01:47 AM I've watched some NRL on Setanta. Pretty exciting. I watched won AFL game on Setanta this year and was just bored senseless. I made a thread about it on here. I just couldn't understand what the hell was going on. Ever 10-30-2006, 01:56 AM Yah AFL is pretty fucked up when you first start watching it. Think of it as soccer with tackling and hands. Also if you catch the ball after it's been kicked no one's allowed to tackle you. That sums it up really. NRL is a great game, over here people complain that it's too slow. That's why they don't really like American Football all that much either. I dunno, I guess I'm patient with my sports and really all football is awesome. Travis Meeks 10-30-2006, 07:29 AM I don't like you much either. You're a great big pussy and when you get challenged you start to back down. Challenged? Sorry if I don't feel like arguing whether or not I am a good football fan or if I may bust on sppunk. |
