granted it's sampled...but whoever continued to produce it and turn it into the glitch-hoppy deconstructed disco-house patife inspired thing did A DAMN FUCKING GOOD JOB!
It's about time something innovative happens in the mainstream rapping world.

"Nas is Like" has the greatest beat ever. Jay-Z is pretty overrated if you ask me. He's never had anything interesting to say.

You guys dont listen to Linkin Park, or whatever else crap mainstream rock is out there.

Why listen to hip hop equivelant when there is some real quality stuff available to get excited about?

Le sigh.

Soundbombing 2 has some of my favorite beats ever. I highly recommend it.

Not with that attitude... maybe next time you'll remember the magic word (which is "please", in case you didn't know).

Seriously though, if you think he's not riding on the familiarity of Rumpshaker, you are fucking stupid.

ummm the "horn track" is ungodly common in the world of hip-hop production as well as breaks, and I'm sure there are quite a few people who know where to give credit where credit is due fuck-o

I guess the music is cool but I was not impressed with the rapping. I did like the cars and the gambling babe.

God everytime someone on this board mentions rap, someone else on this board has to come out of the woodwork and claim their indie-credibility by explaining to us that underground rap has more substance...we understand...there's no such thing as underground rap anymore. It died with the rave scene and it doesn't give you indie cred to know about people under the sairs or dialated peoples anymore.

I wasn't aware any rap had substance, but maybe someone can find some such rap for me so that I can also not listen to it

My favorite rapper is Eminem. He has the best rhyming skills and lyrics but he used to have better songs than some of his more recent stuff, although he still has some great songs on his newer albums. I haven't heard any rappers that are better but I don't listen to a lot of rap. If you think he sucks I will fight you. For example, most of his lyrics put this Jay-Z song to shame.

I don't understand what is wrong with "mainstream" hip hop. I mean I don't think anyone really likes this stuff because it expresses some deep insight... it's just fun. It gets played in bars and clubs and makes the ladies dance, and who doesn't enjoy that?

Haha, it’s not about INDIE, it’s about QUALITY!
And that’s about as narrow minded as saying that indie rock has disappeared too. But hey.
