Man, I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice something wrong. I thought there was a short in one of my speaker wires. What's odd is that my advance copy of the album doesn't seem to have this problem.

Post that on the zboard. We need to make a big deal about this.

Does the Honestly single have the same problem?

The overuse of compression in the mastering is part of the reason why I don't like the sound of the album, so this doesn't really surprise me. But how could they not notice this before releasing it? I understand that they wanted to make the "hottest" album, just like every other current rock band... you know, to have everything nice and loud. That way, when their songs come up on the radio, they are louder than everybody elses', and the songs seem more intense. But when you go this far with it, the songs become less dynamic. I guess they went way too far, and they screwed it up.

this is starting to really piss me off.
first of all.. people in industry bitch about people who pirate music...and ask why people do it especially since the sound quality isnt good, and then they give us messed up copies of original stuff. my case(s) in point of recent are A) the MSOTS release with OBVIOUS sound clipping, and B) the "back to the future" wide screen edition dvd set, with the last two WHOLE movies misframed. if you dont know what im talking about here is a comparison website for back to the future..

im not sure if that will be translated to english, but just look at the pictures. you can see the difference in framing from the laserdisc release in the 80's from the new dvd release. yeah, that is just my 2 cents though.. it just makes me mad. ok, bye bye.
