with things the way they are now, it's easy to get a glance at a bunch of music topics. music threads are significantly less active than threads on the general board, and it'd be nearly impossible to see them at a quick glance if the boards were merged

I'm not jesting. I don't post in there because I know I'm not as politically inclined as others and would just ruin threads (unintentionally). I think if those threads were run in this forum where would be way more ruining of threads by people. I'm not saying that stupid people can't GO to the politics forum and learn things there, like it seems like you're suggesting. I go in there and read sometimes but I don't post. I'm just saying that if you keep em separated then there's less chance of every thread going to hell like in the gen forum. I'm just trying to show some respect to you political types.
