That's my favorite Lie 09-06-2006, 06:15 PM I was thinking of posting a picture of a smoking gun, but I couldn't find one quickly enough which sort of defeated the whole purpose. Oh well. http://www.fortunecity.com/boozers/wills/360/danger5.jpg I think Dead Man would be my favorite, as well. KrazeeStacee 09-06-2006, 06:17 PM Edward Scissorhands definitely. Followed closely by Benny and Joon. He's good at making me cry. MusicMan4 09-06-2006, 06:20 PM Ed Wood Karl Connor 09-06-2006, 06:30 PM GILBERT. GIIILBERT Lie 09-06-2006, 07:39 PM http://members.tripod.com/~TheOldWoman/grape08.jpg MusicMan4 09-06-2006, 07:46 PM Ed Wood is the only Johnny Depp movie that I would consider a flawless masterpiece Edward Scissorhands and Dead Man are the only other movies he's in that I even like, I think. He's done such terrible shit. MusicMan4 09-06-2006, 07:47 PM oh Benny and Joon is OK even though its an entire movie based around making people nostalgic for old movie characters by having a guy mimic their manerisms neopryn 09-06-2006, 07:51 PM pirates of the caribbean MusicMan4 09-06-2006, 07:51 PM here are the absolute worst out of what i've seen: 1. Nick of Time 2. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 3. The Astronaut's Wife 4. The Ninth Gate 5. Finding Neverland 6. Secret Window 7. Pirates of the Caribbean MusicMan4 09-06-2006, 07:52 PM oh yeah, Fear and Loathing was good Luke de Spa 09-06-2006, 07:58 PM oh Benny and Joon is OK even though its an entire movie based around making people nostalgic for old movie characters by having a guy mimic their manerisms didn't enjoy the rest of this film but the scene where the hospital orderly yells "my hands are tied, MY HANDS ARE TIED!" is one of the funniest things i've ever seen homechicago 09-06-2006, 08:02 PM Ed Wood "Pull the strings!" - Bella Lugosi Karl Connor 09-06-2006, 08:03 PM oh Benny and Joon is OK even though its an entire movie based around making people nostalgic for old movie characters by having a guy mimic their manerisms i thought it was pretty horrible phaedrus 09-06-2006, 08:03 PM Benny & Joon was great MusicMan4 09-06-2006, 08:05 PM i'm a sucker for nostalgia and sentimentality even when i realize it's lame Karl Connor 09-06-2006, 08:05 PM Ninth Gate seemed pretty horrible too ella 09-06-2006, 08:05 PM oh crap 1 being my most fav. 1.)Blow 2.)Fear and Loathing 3.)Gilbert 4.)Pirates 5.)Ed scissors 6.)Secret Window..... and whatever else.. i can't remember Shapan 09-06-2006, 08:14 PM Ed Wood i was typing up a long thing about that movie before the server went to shit for like an hour. it was pretty much talking about how well he embraced that character. hes so different in every movie but he does a great job adapting. MstrGhost 09-06-2006, 08:46 PM dead man phaedrus 09-06-2006, 09:00 PM i'm going to have to go with: 1)Fear and loathing 2)Scissorhands 3)Benny & Joon 4)Gilbert 5)Rest Karl Connor 09-06-2006, 09:01 PM no mention of A Nightmare on Elm Street in this thread?????? shattering fast 09-06-2006, 09:05 PM I haven't seen Edward ScissorHands or Deadman. But I'd have to say Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Super Cres 09-06-2006, 09:18 PM Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, he nailed Hunter. julie 09-06-2006, 09:19 PM chocolat. that's him at his dreamiest julie 09-06-2006, 09:19 PM wait. once upon a time in mexico and fear and loathing. Shapan 09-06-2006, 09:51 PM i saw blow again earlier, and ray liotta did such a great job in his limited role. the best scene may have been the tape for him at the end. oh and a movie no one has mentioned that didnt get much attention was the libertine. if you're fond of european history, you may enjoy that movie. i thought it was cool. sleepy hallow was also a solid movie which im sure people have seen but forgot to mention. pale blue eyes 09-06-2006, 10:45 PM Ed Wood or What's Eating Gilbert Grape would be my absolute favorite, followed closely by Edward Scissorhands. TuralyonW3 09-07-2006, 01:18 AM 1. fear and loathing 2. ed wood 3. dead man 4. chocolate factory (his performance, not the movie as a whole) 5. finding neverland 6. jack sparrow 7. scissorhands 8. elm street (honorable mention for volcano of blood) haven't seen gilbert and benny and joon in forever, but I remember them being pretty great everyting else (blow, mexico, etc): meh Izzle 09-07-2006, 03:13 AM benny and joon is pretty underrated, i know its pretty mushy but johnny did a great job learning to act like buster keaton. some of that shit looks really difficult. ChristHimself! 09-07-2006, 03:46 AM Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, he nailed Hunter. Yeah, same. It's probably not one of my favourite Johnny Depp movies, but I think I'm one of the few people who genuinely enjoyed From Hell. I know he had a cheesy accent in it, but at least Holm was fucking great. pale blue eyes 09-07-2006, 11:48 AM I didn't like Fear and Loathing all that much to be honest. MusicMan4 09-07-2006, 02:34 PM 4. chocolate factory (his performance) part of the reason i hated the movie Karl Connor 09-07-2006, 04:12 PM something about charlie and the choc. factory didnt really 'click' maybe i'm just too old for that sort of movie but it just seemed kind of lifeless TuralyonW3 09-07-2006, 04:14 PM part of the reason i hated the movie well gee i guess we'll never be girlfriend and boyfriend then too fucking bad shannon 09-07-2006, 04:38 PM fear and loathing was the fucking best the 09-07-2006, 04:48 PM what's up with johnny depp anyway. he's just really hot. and that's pretty much it. shannon 09-07-2006, 04:49 PM he's ok looking...not great, not bad the 09-07-2006, 04:51 PM no. he's really hot... kind of like angelina jolie. but man... does he suck as an actor. just like angelina jolie. shannon 09-07-2006, 04:56 PM i dunno why but i have never really thought he was all that great looking, or rather, not as good looking as people make him out to be...he certainly isnt ugly, but i guess he just looks average to me... angelina jolie is hot though! TuralyonW3 09-07-2006, 05:42 PM why are you being so bi lately shannon shannon 09-07-2006, 05:47 PM why are you being so bi lately shannon im not! i just think she's hot... i felt really bi last night because i watched this 2 hour special on jenna jameson, and i was way too into it ...but im not bi TuralyonW3 09-07-2006, 05:51 PM im not! i just think she's hot... i felt really bi last night because i watched this 2 hour special on jenna jameson, and i was way too into it ...but im not bi she's kinda gross though shannon 09-07-2006, 05:57 PM she's kinda gross though she was OK looking on the show, but at one point she was pretty amazing looking... i was watching it mainly because i wanted to see how one progresses into a lifestyle based on inhaling genitalia into every orifice TuralyonW3 09-07-2006, 06:44 PM inhaling genitalia into every orifice  Esty 09-07-2006, 06:46 PM Step away from the keyboard turalyon, go get some air or a sandwich or something. |
