Why do people drive at night with their fog lights on even when it's not foggy? I have a Chevy with fog lights so I know you can press the button and just turn them off, but I don't understand why people can them on. They don't give off anymore light really. Is it supposed to be cool?? I remember fog lights were a cool thing years ago.

I'd bet that half the people that have their lights on- be it their daytime running lamps or fog lights or whatever- don't even know they're on.

maybe they just turned on the car and drove and didn't realize thier regular lights weren't on.

i hate people that have their brights on, its so annoying.

when i started driving i would use it once in a while if i couldnt see a surface street that wasnt a major street, then i realized it prolly pissed people off and just paid closer attention.

but yeah, a lot of people dont even realize it.

some cars have their lights on all the time, no matter day or night. some you have to switch on at night. i know that in my car you can turn the lights on auto and a sensor detects when to have the daytime running lights on and when to have the headlamps on. fog lights are a whole different button that you press. so i'm assuming people knowingly put their fog lights on.

fog lights are the little round lights underneath the regular lights. they're usually under the bumper, if you're car even came with them

Oh really? Well you can only have fog lights on if you don't have high beams on. So maybe people at night just leave their daytime lights on on streets that aren't very dark.

I have no idea what fog lights are. Are they the middle setting between turning your headlights on and off? I've never known what that was.

See those lights on the bottom- those are fog lights. Some vehicles use those types of lights as they're daytime runners. Some, not all.

Some cars these days you don't even need to flip the lights on. My aunt, in her car, never does unless she needs brights.

my last car was a 97 chevy and i also never had to turn the lights on other than high beams

I'll go out on a limb here and suggest that pretty much anything makes you angry these days.
