Will Bill play those songs live if James isn't with the band? No more I Am One? Farewell and Goodnight?

he's already said they will be performing The Bells regularly, so i don't see why they wouldn't play songs he co-wrote.

hahah jame's didn't really co-write i am one. billy just felt bad for him so he added james name to the credits.

I think if Billy has the will to reform the Pumpkins without James, he'll also have no problem playing songs he wrote with him. Think about it.

Thanks for the warning :earplugs:

Dude , that song (the Bells) rocks (OK, maybe not, but it is darn good). I like Summer too, and Said Sadly and Believe. Maybe James only contributed 5% to the Pumpkins' songwriting chores, but it was a good 5%.

rofl you mean he took a scale that already existed and just played it in the song, without making not sound like a scale

I think James will be around for the new reformed Pumpkins, and this will all be a moot point. And also considering that I doubt they will be playing hardly any old songs anyway makes it double moot.

Either way, if James is around or not, the only thing he really provided to the band was a couple extra points in the image diversity department. Most of his songs pretty much sucked, or maybe it was just that his voice was undesirable and made the songs he sang on sound worse.

I thought you were claiming a while back that he would be in the new lineup - very hush-hush about the source but I believe you pm'ed the info to Davin?

How do you figure they won't play much of the back catalogue?

I agree with you that James' voice wasn't up to much, but I think his Pumpkins songs were pretty OK actually.

I like a lot of James' songs, but I guess I just don't like his voice as well as Billy's. As for whether the Pumpkins will play them, my bet is that they play the cowritten songs, but not any that James wrote on his own. Hopefully James will be there anyway and none of this will be a problem.
