View Full Version : What about the songs that James did help to write? Esty 08-18-2006, 08:56 AM Will Bill play those songs live if James isn't with the band? No more I Am One? Still, my question stands. tcm 08-18-2006, 09:45 AM i do not know. zbeast78 08-18-2006, 11:50 AM he's already said they will be performing The Bells regularly, so i don't see why they wouldn't play songs he co-wrote. DeadOpera 08-18-2006, 12:30 PM hahah jame's didn't really co-write i am one. billy just felt bad for him so he added james name to the credits. Thaniel Buckner 08-18-2006, 12:33 PM i think james wrote that descending scale thing. DeviousJ 08-18-2006, 03:37 PM He's gonna send James some sweet sweet cash every time they play one DeadOpera 08-18-2006, 03:41 PM "here james, since you wrote 2% of I am one. you will receive .01 cents ever time we play it live." myosis 08-18-2006, 03:59 PM i bet james only wrote the intro/outro to mayonaise that we hear on siamese dream. redbreegull 08-18-2006, 04:13 PM Soma too! Cruiser 08-18-2006, 04:14 PM James rules mistle 08-18-2006, 04:15 PM i bet james only wrote the intro/outro to mayonaise that we hear on siamese dream. the song wouldn't exist without him. billy wrote the song around the chords that james came up with sppunk 08-18-2006, 04:20 PM They sucked. ZEROpumpkins 08-18-2006, 08:22 PM he's already said they will be performing The Bells regularly, so i don't see why they wouldn't play songs he co-wrote. Reyngel 08-18-2006, 10:32 PM I think if Billy has the will to reform the Pumpkins without James, he'll also have no problem playing songs he wrote with him. Think about it. RenewRevive 08-20-2006, 01:42 AM Thanks for the warning :earplugs: Dude , that song (the Bells) rocks (OK, maybe not, but it is darn good). I like Summer too, and Said Sadly and Believe. Maybe James only contributed 5% to the Pumpkins' songwriting chores, but it was a good 5%. Cruiser 08-20-2006, 11:35 AM ya, I totally agree. I mean, Blew Away???? RenewRevive 08-20-2006, 02:19 PM Ha. YEA FUCK JAMES THEN!! WOO!! Argh 08-21-2006, 11:46 AM i think james wrote that descending scale thing. rofl you mean he took a scale that already existed and just played it in the song, without making not sound like a scale Shapan 08-21-2006, 01:49 PM soma is really the most important of all these songs. MajesticFlow 08-21-2006, 06:54 PM your sister's ass. it's a metaphor. but that actually happened though. http://www.cinemazone.dk/images/image8687.JPG aomb1979 08-21-2006, 07:55 PM mayonaisse Good job, Warren. zsp77 08-21-2006, 08:07 PM I think James will be around for the new reformed Pumpkins, and this will all be a moot point. And also considering that I doubt they will be playing hardly any old songs anyway makes it double moot. Either way, if James is around or not, the only thing he really provided to the band was a couple extra points in the image diversity department. Most of his songs pretty much sucked, or maybe it was just that his voice was undesirable and made the songs he sang on sound worse. RenewRevive 08-21-2006, 09:36 PM I thought you were claiming a while back that he would be in the new lineup - very hush-hush about the source but I believe you pm'ed the info to Davin? I agree with you that James' voice wasn't up to much, but I think his Pumpkins songs were pretty OK actually. zsp77 08-21-2006, 10:41 PM I thought you were claiming a while back that he would be in the new lineup - very hush-hush about the source but I believe you pm'ed the info to Davin? Yeah, that's what I just said. Thanks for repeating it. redbull 08-21-2006, 11:45 PM dude, if you pm'd it to anyone, it kind of implies that you actually know it firewoman 08-24-2006, 05:41 PM Dude , that song (the Bells) rocks (OK, maybe not, but it is darn good). UI srtongly agree with this. firewoman 08-24-2006, 05:44 PM UI srtongly agree with this. okay, i'm a retard who can't type properly. I strongly agree, I meant. Charmbag 08-24-2006, 05:58 PM I like a lot of James' songs, but I guess I just don't like his voice as well as Billy's. As for whether the Pumpkins will play them, my bet is that they play the cowritten songs, but not any that James wrote on his own. Hopefully James will be there anyway and none of this will be a problem. RenewRevive 08-25-2006, 11:55 AM The Boy is cool also. Just hoping they can be mature about this and bury the hatchet (or whatever). Neverwinter27 08-25-2006, 03:56 PM James is a fag Cool As Ice Cream 08-25-2006, 04:05 PM James is a fag did you pm this to anyone? brendo_91 08-26-2006, 12:19 AM And also considering that I doubt they will be playing hardly any old songs anyway makes it double moot.
