just because i want to do something fucking crazy to it before i cut it all off. i think putting it in dreads in a good idea for that.

im not really asking anyones opinion on it though. i just wanted to say im thinking about it.

very strongly.

Are you showing US solidarity with the Caribbean in their dislike of muslims?

I'm very strongly considering leaving my hair the way it is.

i know. i've always kind of wanted to, but i know that it shortens by about a third or even half when you put them in. now that it's as long as it is, i'm thinking about it again.

Why bother, when you can simply wear a set of fake dreds instead?

A third already seems a bit much - but half? Jesus Christ, surely not. A few friends of mine got dreads and none of them lost more than a quarter of their hair length.

...the hell is he playing there? lap steel, on a strap? totally defeating the purpose of the 'lap' designation? therefore making it a 'strap steel'?

Oh, awesome. I once saw a guy hammering away on a street corner in the city, busking with his dulcimer. cool stuff. I always wondered what an electric version would sound like.

This is unfathomably pointless.

indeed - the term 'strap steel' might as well mean, "normal fucking guitar" - apart from the fact that it's obviously square necked, from the pic. and is aparrently a dulcimer.
