5 Pro Leagues in the World averaged 30K or more fans in 2005. This does not mean just one particular team in a league, but the league average has to be at least 30,000.

What are those leagues?

In my mind, there is at least 1 notable absence from the list, but I understand why this league did not average 30K.

the only league i could name here is the NFL....a few Premier League/La Liga clubs average well over 30k per game, but shitty clubs with 18k averages kill them off.

post the list?

i wanna see if anyone gets it.

The NFL yes. That's an obvious. They have the highest average by far in the world at 60K. One other league is just over 40K. The other 3 are in the 30Ks.

aside from the year where houston played in the Astrodome and the years when Say Town played in the Alamodome, no.

I would guess the NBA average is around 17.5K per game.

Nope. CFL is number 6 in the world though, which is pretty impressive at 28,436 per game league-wide, which is up from less than 20,000 per game league-wide 10 years ago.

that IS pretty impressive. it's totally because of cheap seats.

You have no. 1, 3, 4, and 5 in there.

Cricket does not place even in the top 20.

I just looked it up, so I'm done guessing. I would have guessed La Liga next, but I see now that I would have been wrong again.

Aussie Football at No. 3 is pretty surprising to me. I attribute this to it being played during their winter which is mild and great climate and Aussies' love for sports. Because Aussie Football is almost unbearable to watch. Trust me. I tried last night.

Haha, yeah, I watched a game a few weeks ago, and it surprised me how big the stands were, so that's why I guessed it.

and if you think about it No. 2 makes a lot of sense because that league generally keeps the rif-raff out. it's almost all large stadiums with traditional teams. unlike la liga, a third or so of which is composed of rif-raff teams.

Why doesn't Nascar count? Not a fan, but it seems to fit all requirements for a "league." If that's the case, Indy and F-1 racing probably qualifty too.
