7 year hiatus, lame performance of the old favorites, a few unnecessary "c'mon!"'s interspersed between the verses, hold the mic out towards the crowd for the big lines, a few new swear words thrown in.

Prettymuch. It's going to be damn strange hearing all the old songs live again.

aa... I hope that billy now, if he tours again.. plays like 90% or 95% of new songs.. it would be VERY lame to bring SP back just to play the old hits and make money...
I want to see new albums!!! I want to hear NEW ROCK SONGS!!

I would kill for him to randomly throw in some swear words into every single song. But damn it, Billy will make the performances bigger, bolder, and b0llier than ever before, the pumpkins will play in exploding crystal bubbles, and there will be real live siamese dragons and one lucky fan willl be crucified at the end of every show, and Billy will read his confessions out loud for half an hour making everyone cringe, thereby making the next song even better.

I agree with this post. SP's first handful of shows back are going to be hyped and grandiose affairs. Whether or not they keep that level of interest up is anyone's guess, but I imagine it'll be a big deal at least in the beginning.

I think it'll be more like Green Day's big comeback album, Americhina Idcariot.

ahahh...Americhina Idcariot.
you know I was thinking that Candlbox performance is quite lacking from their original mark, but I still like that song and it held up despite themselves.

What a shitty looking performance. I'm still seeing Candlebox anyway. It's like the Foo Fighters; I don't care if they aren't groundbreaking, the music is passionate and rock and roll.
But I can't imagine Billy not delivering a stellar show, he always has in the past.

i'm reminded of the S.F. Zwan show at Warfield with MSOTS as the opener. As divine a moment any show I've seen have...had they walked off the stage after that first song and called it a night, it could have saved the band.
