I totally know what you're talking about. Sometimes when I'm in that place I write really awesome songs in my head... too bad I can never write them down, because they're the bomb.

Yeah, the songs thing is common I think, I do it too. Being drowsy and being able to lie down is great, being drowsy and having to do stuff is the worst torture ever.

being drowsy and having to do stuff is the worst torture ever.especially when "having to do stuff" means drive on the freeway with your girlfriend asleep, so you can't sing loudly to keep yourself awake.
