. . . are very rude. Especially if they tell you that they will. And it's not just a, "Hey, we'll talk soon" thing I'm referring to. It's either work related or a friend with whom I have a specific topic I want to talk about or do something with. I've never seen it as bad anywhere else but in LA. They're horrible about this here.

Rant, rant, rant.

welcome to the real world. people are nothing but a bunch of phony flakes who are only around if they need something from you.

unfortunately, i'm beginning to see it that way. at least here in LA - if you can't help them get into the business, then it's, "Nice to see you, now fuck off." Oh well.

yeah, southern shallowfornians are among the worst I've encountered, but they're that way everywhere. mankind is a selfish beast.

even worse is when they make a token attempt to make contact just to placate you.

i don't need this shit.

what's proper calling etiquette? are you just supposed to call once and leave a message? or can you repeatedly call back?

I do that all the time. If im on the phone and i dont want to be, I have a habit of asking if i can call them back in a bit. Then i usually dont. Unless its someone im close to.

My ex was a bitch like this, she wouldn't call. And I would be sitting there thinking we had plans and then nothing would happen. What a bitch.

Uhhh. yeah. 'bout that. sounds like no one wants to do anything with you. sorry, pal.

i hate this too- especially leaving a detailed message, they never call and you wonder if you should bother calling again. This is especially annoying applying for jobs because you're constantly waiting for the call and you know that they're taking their sweet time and it doesn't matter to them if they keep you waiting. I've done the follow up call thing before and half the time the person isn't there and you feel like a stalker leaving yet another message.

This coming from a guy who starts a thread about getting a haircut. God, I'm not even that gay.

don't think this evidence holds ups. unless you're prepared to dig through eight years worth of threads i've created, and somehow prove that they're not as good as a thread about a hair cut, then you need to shut the fuck up.
