because of some dispute with the record company apparently. if you would be interested in a mixture of alternative-country, post punk, depressive singer songwriter material (like red house painters), reverby production, one rockabilly song, brilliant lyrics, beautiful ballads etc, check out the record. it is one of the best i've ever heard (there are plenty of critics who likes it as well, if you don't care about MY opinion :(. http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:m95a8qttbtb4 ).

only feel like downloading one song? try the lovely why won't you stay!

i think this is a quite popular album and not 'post-punk' by any means.

vudi's guitarplaying. listen to the noisy solo on the dead part of you. the feedback on sick of you. when it comes to popularity, well i never hear anyone talk about this band anywhere and i don't think they've sold very well.

i've heard that the only way to achieve real post-punkishness is to ressurect ian curtist soul and force it to sing by using garlic.

well that's one way. another is fucking Ryan Patrick in his ass, record the sounds and release it as an album.

makes for a great post-punk rythm section. the pounding of your fleshy tighs against his ass and the little melodies emerging from his rumbling groans. with some tweaking, you guys might be the next punk-funk sensation. i'm pretty sure that the rapture made most of their songs by using themselves as instruments in this manner.
