Supposedly they will be touring this summer. Who could possibly replace Staley though? What a powerful voice. I wonder if they'll be any good.

I thought the tracks they did with Maynard sounded awesome even though the live recordings were shit. You can hear them at toolshed.down.net

N.B. both posters in this thread have negative reputation point levels

i think they should have called it quits before the first reunion. this is retarded. still would love to hear 'would' live. Or as an instrumental.

poking your arse with a fork > classic bands reuniting with new singers

Kahlo

i agree. what a waste of time. Or when the singer tries to go on with out his band ie: G & R and possibly Billy?

hmm.. at least billy put out his solo album under his own name, which i dont get the impression axl will do (although I admittedly know very little about the whole gnr situation, never been a big fan)

Queen, The Doors and... yes, INXS, should never have come back though

Kahlo

yes all those are embarrassing. Queen or whatever they call themselves should be crucified for such a shameless shitty cash in!!

Money grabbing bastards.

or pink floyd. shudder.

I don't think that was the same. Gilmour gave any profits made to charity, not sure about the rest of them though. Also it was just a one of show, with Gilmour saying afterwards that it was officially the end. Unless you are referring to post Waters pink floyd

or pink floyd. shudder.

I thought the show they played sounded pretty damn good. But then again the only pink floyd you ever seem to mention is Dark side of the moon so that says a lot about your relationship with Pink Floyd.

i'm pretty sure the last post i made concerning pink floyd was a piper at the gates of dawn appreciation thread.

i was trying really hard not to insult you.

I think the best thing would be they'd perform as a trio. Cantrell can sing.

im skeptical about it, maynard has a great voice. but god, its hard to imagine anyone replacing layne.

I don't think Maynard is in the reuinion, he just sang at one concert. I said where you can hear it earlier in the thread. Man in the box sounds pretty damn cool with him singing.

LOL @ Maynard touring with Alice In Chains.

As for the reunion, they were actually pretty fucking great when I saw "t**** as Cardboard Vampyres with Billy Duffy last year. I don't know how I really feel about them getting back as AIC, but as loud as the room got when they broke into an AIC song, it was obvious that's what the fans (or at least the drunken fucks at that show) want.

The picture on their website is just the three of them. So. Maybe that's what they're doing. Looks like they're only touring in Europe right now.

William DuVall is touring with them. This is old news.

^ yeah

I've seen Cantrell live a few times over the past few years. He has no problem playing old AiC stuff, and sings most of it with guest vocalists harmonizing/trading off

to be honest i would probably go and see "AIC", I guess its just the JErry cantrell band by a different name.

id definitely go in see AIC even without layne, cantrell is talented enough himself.

i just cant imagine some of the tracks without layne, like most AIC fans.

I agree, 'Would' just would not be the same, or angry chair... etc etc

I would see them even if they sucked probably, just because I like the music so much.
