View Full Version : Movie about The Smashing Pumpkins
Alan Wu 03-30-2006, 08:49 PM CBS is going to make a movie about The Smashing Pumpkins this August.
How do you think its going to turn out? I think it will be great.
Its going to take place in New York City. Its going to be starring Al Sharpton as James Iha. I forgot the rest of the cast list.
Its going to be directed by Spike Lee, so it should be good.

Hahahaha. I got a great laugh out of this. A smashing pumpkins movie woudl be so great though.
scorched_zero 03-30-2006, 10:06 PM I think a Smashing Pumpkins movie, especially a made for TV movie, would just be a 2 hour Billy bashing fest.

This is all I'm reading, because I'm guessing the rest of your post is spoilerz. Anyway, I am stoked, this is the best news I have gotten all year. I can't wait, it's about time mainstream embrace Bill's Genius (as well as the future) I hope it's a mini-series that spans pre-pumpkin glee to post-pumpkin sadness. This is gonna be so great!

No it would be a movie on how bad Iha and Darcy really were. They did nothing to help out that band. They just played their parts and cried like little babies for nothing. They were very lucky to even be in that band. They suck and I really don't give a shit if they come back or not. I actually hope they dont come back and the band will be better because of it.

Wow, I thought it would have been about the Smashing Pumpkins, the movie you're talking about seems to be Iha & D'arcy's Indictment: When Invalids Get into Really Sweet Bands.
Quiet CD 03-30-2006, 10:43 PM You should have at least added that your brother's sister who works at CBS told you because you do part time janitorial work there in the evenings...
lame..
sweetsupervixen 03-30-2006, 11:11 PM Alan Wu, how did you find this out? (Or is what Quiet CD saying right?)

I chuckled. I'm really enjoying this thread.

I wonder if they ever paid Billy back his five pence. I bet all would be forgiven if they did.

I hope you found humor in my post as I did in yours. Until I considered that you may have thought I was serious. Upon which point I decided I should clarify that I just saw Inside Man last night, which was of course direct by Spike Lee, and I decided to direct my attention to that aspect of the original post.
Do I know who Al Sharpton is?!?! Ha! Former Secretary of State, DUH!!

Alan Wu 04-07-2006, 05:54 PM I think that Billy Corgan should be played by John Goodman.
you're supposed to be a suicide by now, dammit.

That's gold. And so true. Maybe they don't think the circus was worth the 5 pence because they never got to do anything anyway.
*sig*
I saw technical ecstacy at the library and, even though it would be free to listen to, i couldn't bring myself to rent it. i heard it was one of the worst albums ever made.
Alan Wu 04-08-2006, 09:57 PM But I just like the cover.

Christ on a cracker, shut the hell up. Seriously, even in a joke thread you've got to kiss Billy's ass? What is wrong with you?
