yea man, i saw them last night (sunday night depending on what time it is there) for the first time. it rawked my socks off. :rockon:

I'd like to think I'd be a big enough fan to drive 2000+ miles to see them, but I don't know.

I saw it as a once in a lifetime thing. I wouldn't have done it for any other band. And it worked out with my schedule well. I was trying to go to 6/26 and 6/27, but only got the one. It was a good one though :) Doesn't make you less of a fan, it's a big commitment and totally unnecessary since you will get to see them close to you. I was worried I wouldn't get another chance.
A big fan I know IRL didn't go with me and was laughing at me when they announced the festival in Miami. I actually know 3 other pretty big fans, and none of them were willing to go (I did the hard part and got the tickets, plus I drove my car). I ended up going with a guy who didn't even like SP much - after the show he bought all of the albums, no kidding.

I also got in a really bad car accident coming back on I-95 around the northern GA border. $4500 in damage, no injuries fortunately :) It was an eventful week, at least.

I'm hoping SP will announce another date, a solo show instead of the fest. Wishful thinking, it's probably too late to plan for it even if they wanted to. Ah well.
