Ok, here's the dealie. My girlfriend of 3 years goes to a private high school here in Houston. MTV is running auditions at her school for the show "Made" where people get made into things they would otherwise never be i.e. skaters, snowboarders... shit like that.

She's the quiet type, hardly speaks unless she's known you for a long time. Prissy bitches and lameass emo fags at her school think she's just an anti-social stoner chick. The friends she does have are telling her she should try out for this and sort of "upset" the school by wanting to be made into prom queen. This would make a great show because she really just hates everybody at her school.

Should I encourage her to audition in hopes of her getting the part? Or should i just save our relationship from being exploited on this dumbass show? Does anyone here know of any monetary compensation MTV would give for participation in this series, not for my personal gain, but because her mother passed away when she was 6, her dad is a deadbeat welder who went out and married a bi-polar native american who's tried to kill my chick (on 2 occasions that i know of) and they have $0 saved for her college education next year.

I don't think your relationship would be exploited. The show wouldn't be about that, it would be about her being prom queen, right? I don't know of any monetary compensation but going on the show couldn't hurt anything, right? I say tell her to go for it.

I really like this show sometimes.

dude, she's unpopular and has a bad family life

don't let her go on tv, just turn that low self esteem into your personal sex slave

I've seen 5 minutes of 1 Made episode and it revolved around some goth chick going after prom queen to prove some point. Very unoriginal. I'm sure every high school has at least 1 weird kid that attempts this every year to varying degrees of success.

yea, i'd say there's been a huge checkmark by that for quite sometime now.

ok well the prom queen was only one suggestion, but i mean with prom just around the corner it doesn't seem so far fetched. one asshole is adamant about wanting to be made into a snowboarder... in texas.

not to mention, how many "i wanna be a skater" and "i wanna be a rockstar" episodes have they aired? people obviously eat this shit up, no matter how repetitive.

and no, stay away from MTV. not because "OH MAN! ANTI ESTABLISHMENT! DER DER!"

but the producers they have are ruthless fucking disgusting people who will try to get you to do anything to make the show look better.

they had a friend of mine's band on one of their shows, and the producers tried to convince the band to break up. they tried to feed words in to everyone's mouths. weeetarded.

so, don't do it.

not entirely relevant, but a friend of a friend of a friend (reliable, i know) was on dismissed, and she said that they filmed both possible endings. she had to kiss each dude once, and she had to dismiss each dude once, and then they air one of them depending upon whichever they deem to be more 'shocking' or 'compelling' or 'surprising' or 'better' or whatever

I would want to be made into a professional card counter ala someone on the MIT blackjack team. I doubt MTV would go for that though heh.

this is another thought of mine. how much acting would she/i have to do?
