the fact that he's "different" and "unique" doesnt actually mean he's good, dont forget that

He's a decent producer but hes far from groundbreaking. The tunes he made for Jay Zs "Blueprint" album sound like rehashed UK Garage tunes.

He uses a pitch shifter on old R and B vocals and is suddenly a genius. People have been doing that in UK Garage for years...

why teh fuckzor is he opening for U2 in New Zealand?

D.

because U2 is either jumping on the bandwagon, showing how "liberal and eclectic" they can be, or both.

You know what Chicago born rapper that is greater than Kanye by a factor of about a billion? Common. Pick up Like Water For Chocolate and Be and stop complaining about Kanye.

I remember reading a New Yorker review of Late Registration (how weird is this sentance already?) and the critic basically said that Kanye is talented but frustrating. I couldn't agree more. He changes message so much from one track to another he might be the college educated version of Tupac Shakur.

I never listened to much or listened to any of the crazy shit he said. I just heard it in the car occasionally and on the street and it sounded really good.

Common is cool. AndySlash introduced me to his music.

White people love Kanye West, because he makes Bryant Gumble look like Malcolm X.
