i can't burn it, but i opened the torrent just to see if what rate i would get & right now its only going at 6 or 7kb... so maybe its just the number of people leeching combined with your cable speed?

i have bittorrent too & have yet to have any problems

bittorrent isnt a program, it's a method of file sharing. Whatever program you're using is crap, get Azureus. I use it all the time.

Ok it has been brought to my attention by a girl that there is a program called Bittorrent but it's also a method of file sharing........ and anyway that program is bad if it has a trial expiry setup.

Azureus = :D :D :D

This torrent = vast improvement over VHS Dusseldorf bootleg!

And even Azureus says "... days left" when I start up a torrent. Especially if it's a huge dvd torrent. After a while this changes to a more accurate estimate.

Azureus eats way too much memory up. I use BitTornado for all my needs.

And yeah, for torrents like that I sometimes do get real slow speeds but they pick up and slow down every hour etc due to your connection/ if you are behind a firewall / seeders available / tracker it's hosted on.

Just the way it goes.

Oh whoops I assumed that he was talking about some expiration warning that said "days left" but maybe he was talkin about the download ETA.

i use azureus but i might change if bittornado is that much better...

i don't have any problems with memory though, it loads pretty quick for me.

and just to recap it says you have 35 days left cause it's a huge file and you have a slow connection. it won't take that long but it will take you a few days. it may be worth asking for a b+p instead

hi, could someone tell me if this has the full interview at the end, as i had a divx version where the interview cut out and it was a reallly funny interview cos billy and james were basically just taking the piss out of the interviewer (well james was laughing billy was doing the talking)

I use http://www.utorrent.com/

It uses max 4 mb of ram and the file is less than 100 Kb. Little cpu usage too.

Azareus starts in like 15 seconds for me. Yours might be takign longer if you have it set to check and install updates/plugins upon startup.

I have 768MB of memory on the box it is running on...no problems with memory what-so-ever.

I am not converting! So there... :p :p :p

Azureus starts in about 3 seconds on my computer, it loads SafePeer (PeerGuardian add-on to Azureus) after the program has actually been loaded...
I have a AMD 64 3200+ and 1GB of RAM, so it might be that, Azureus used to load really slow for me, I mean like 30-40 seconds, I think they may have fixed a bug or something.

davin
11-01-2005, 02:42 AM
sounds about right...its running on my 1.8GHz AMD machine right now. What does the SafePeer add-on get you?

BTW -- The sound on this new torrent for this show fucking rocks. A little more color-bleeding than my VHS tape ("Death Mosh"), but the image is sharper as well.

I will have to reply and give more kudos to the guy who re-did the audio. I also noticed his song menu is correct, despite some of the incorrect song titles given on-screen. :D

Forgot how much the outro of Ruby fucking rocks on this show....

Also makes me realize that regardless of whom ends up on bass or second guitar, I am just DYING for Jimmy and Billy to rock-out SP songs again.

And I've had this DVD for a few years, it does have the interview on it.

I talked Tobin through every step of making this thing, so I take full credit.

Bitcommet has tons of problems. it basically fucks up torrents trying to give you a faster speed as you leech from others.

Well I tried Bittornado, and while it started up fast, it was missing some features that I use often with Azureus so even though Azureus takes forever to start up, I've switched back to it. I cleared out the previous downloaded torrent history from Azureus so maybe that will help it start up faster.

Dead
11-10-2005, 02:15 PM
From what I could tell, it was missing the pre-allocation which cause me a problem because I ran out of space on my drive in the middle of the night and wasted time not being able to download for a few hours. Also, I didn't see a way to make it download certain files in the torrent and not download other files in the torrent. This particular feature was the reason I started using Azureus. Oh yeah it seemed like it opened a separate window for each torrent you were downloading, which was lame.

You can do this in Bit Tornado. Thats actually the reason I switched to BitTornado from the original client (please note I made this switch a long time ago).

This show is really good and I recommend the dvd to people here. Usually I'm put off my audience videos but this one is pretty smooth, with hardly any jerking around of the camera. The person is filming from the back of the stadium with a good zoom, and the sound is totally audible, and there's some really funny moments like when the guy from the Frogs starts chasing D'arcy and she tries to run away.
