good album, but the people saying it's better than Wonderful Rainbow are crazy and need to re-listen to Wonderful Rainbow.

i dont like the way it was produced. its too clean and thin sounding. i dunno.

yeah, this is the problem with me too. Wonderful Rainbow sounds monstrous. fills the mix. this, sometimes it sounds like they're playing in the room next door and you're listening through a wall.

and Assassins is still better than all of Hypermagic Mountain. but if Dead Cowboy were produced better it coulda beena contenda.

i think its ok... some of the riffs are really obvious, which bummed me out. i think the standout is 'dead cowboy'. the one before it (cant remember the name) sounds fucking incredible live, but the drums are too low in the mix on the record. i just want them to tour again.

wonderful rainbow is fantastic, and so is this one. i like WR better, but maybe because it had got more time to sink in than the new one. anyway, i ordered hypermagic mountain on LP but the store keeps saying it's still "expected" and not released here. : /

don't really hear what the problem with the production is on HM.

i have to concur with all you guys, hypermagic mountain hasn't had such an effect on me as did wonderful rainbow.

and jj, you should totally come to finland so that we could jam some ligtning bolt, i have a piccolo snare, so i can get an authentic lightning bolt sound to my drums
