haven't heard it yet.

do you know if 'Badgerlore - Stories For Owls' is any good? i'm grabbing it from IT now.

looks promising though, it has in it:

Ben Chasny (Six Organs Of Admittance, Comets On Fire), Tom Carter (Charalambides), Pete Swanson (Yellow Swans), and Rob Fisk (7 Year Rabbit Cycle, ex-Deerhoof)

did you like school of the flower? i just got back into it after not listening to it for about 8 months, it's pretty awesome.

let's talk about music oh ryan patrick

oh someone posted that Badgerlore? that's good. i've been looking forward to that. i mean, Tom Carter and Pete Swanson.

and you mean the Six Organs of Admittance record? i'm not a big fan of them. i don't know if i even listened to that one.

yeah, the six organs one, it's probably one of my favourite records from this year.

i dunno, what else is new? 2005 had been a pretty shitty year wouldn't you agree?

yeahh..

2005 kinda sucks..

i mean lightning bolt is probably my #2 of the year but it's not like, ultra-fantastic, just good.

yeah, i honestly don't think anything released this year deserves to be my 'number 1 record', feels only really gets it by default.

i dunno, i'm just downloading heaps of shit of IT at the moment trying to find some awesome stuff. i downloaded something like 25 albums this weekend :erm

i think Feels is a Great Record, it's just alone this year

i've been listening to classics lately instead. or obscure weirdo music. or nihilistic brainmelting noise.

relentlessly unrelenting. This makes a great companion to Vitalic's Ok Cowboy. Good call there, mr ryan pitchfork.

i know that this is done just to annoy me, but you people do realize you can listen to music without pitchfork being your tastemaker, right? i heard audion cause we got it in at my radio station  but i guess i heard the 12" tracks already, except for "just fucking", and man that track is cool.

really people do this all the time and i get really offended by it, so that's pretty funny right. i think the rest of the board that doesn't like me should take that and run with it.

That was originally intended to be a compliment as a way of sayng thanks for bringng this album to my attention, which i would've ignored based on the fact that it's matthew dear, but now i change my mind, mr sensitive-guy!

oh i figured you'd heard it before i made this thread.

you don't like matthew dear? i like him. despite him being a vain fuck, his music is cool.

no i havent. I thought matthew dear was strictly folktronica so naturally i didnt expect him to deliver this micro house gem. It's pretty rad.

for the record I may have him confused with some anonymous indie electronica artist, probably someone from ghostly international i'm not sure, but i just downloaded leave luck to heaven and that's not bad either. case closed.

yeah, everything i've heard from him has been microhouse-y. some tracks with vocals are like, Normal/Fad Gadget/Tubeway Army/Crash Course in Science with IDM technology, which is way cool.

leave luck to heaven is great, and backstroke is good too... has one really great pop tune.
