Anyone else notice a striking similarity between the opening guitar part of Sonic Youth's Unwind and the vocal part of Modest Mouse's Blame it on the Tetons?

Someone told me about this about a week ago, but I haven't heard that Modest mouse song so I can't really agree or disagree. Obviously you're not the only one to think that though.

actually, now that we're talking about this, the offspring song 'keep 'em seperated' or whatever has the exact same opening guitar line as a belle & sebastian song

anyone else noticed that the pixies didn't only steal the typical surf guitar sound of bossanova but also the melody of havalina from the velvet underground's beginning to see the light?

The opening guitar of "Blame It On the Tetons" has always reminded me of "Worms vs. Birds".
