Harrisburg man charged with photographing sex acts with minors

A Harrisburg man has been charged with photographing more than 60 sex acts he committed with four boys ages 7 to 10, and police believe there are more victims in the city and in Shippensburg.

Authorities also say the children’s mothers will be charged with allowing the abuse to happen.

Timothy Ray Varner, 38, of the 2300 block of North Third Street is charged with 61 counts of photographing children, six counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with children under 13, seven counts of indecent assault of children under 13, 13 counts of having sex with minors, four counts of corruption of minors and one count of criminal solicitation to commit involuntary deviate sexual intercourse. He is jailed in Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $2 million bail.

i thought you had to commit some heinous murders to get the death penalty.

not that what he did wasn't awful. But I am a bit surprised.

Well, he won't get the death penalty if convicted. But he might as well be publicly executed.

ohhhh. right-o. i totally missed that part. I do love that they print full names and addresses of sex offenders. it's like HEY GUYS! THIS IS WHERE TO GO IF YOU WANT TO BURN SOMEONE'S HOUSE DOWN! HE DESERVES IT!

Um, executions aren't public people.

But I figure he'll be killed in the public square - might as well be.

i thought by "public" you meant you got press credentials to go inside those rooms where the guys get the injections. I'm not sure if y'all can do that, though. i'll stop before i dig myself any deeper.
