'Deloused...' is one of the only albums that i can listen to all the way through several times in a row, and i still enjoy it, but FTM is too much for me too :( I like the songs, but the album as a whole is hard to swallow, and a lot of the inbetween pieces just detract from the music. talk show host 10-12-2005, 04:08 AM Originally posted by Azael 'Deloused...' is one of the only albums that i can listen to all the way through several times in a row, and i still enjoy it, but FTM is too much for me too :( I like the songs, but the album as a whole is hard to swallow, and a lot of the inbetween pieces just detract from the music. Even Deloused I've only ever listened to once the whole way through. I guess I just can't get into their music in general. That said, they're probably the band I'm most interested in seeing at the Big Day Out in January (so far). Me too, i missed them in 2004 as i was outa the country at the time. What a monster of an album. I would also say "Blueberry Boat", but I still haven't been able to sit through the whole thing. alisonmonster 10-12-2005, 10:39 AM it took me forever to get through MCIS when it first came out when i was 15. I think i had to listen to it in blocks for about 8 months before i really got into the whole thing it was so sprawling. I agree with whoever said A Downward Spiral - NIN used to be very--------complex? I dunno. Rockin' Cherub 10-12-2005, 10:45 AM Originally posted by talk show host Francis The Mute The Downward Spiral blueberry boat same. it's always those repetitive, long, in other words, boring ones. I love that album. Even with the extra 15so minutes of Mountain and gutwrench. I'd say that both olivia tremor control albums are pretty exhausting. 75 minutes of beatelesque experimentation is rather tough every now and then. But again, i love both albums. talk show host 10-13-2005, 02:00 AM I get why people are putting The Downward Spiral, but I always find it heavy going in a really good way. smashingjj 10-13-2005, 03:54 AM Originally posted by Nothing/everything dude are you serious?
