According to one my instructors (a multi-millionaire and retired CEO of several aerospace companies who just teaches for fun), very VERY feasable. In fact today I talked to him about it and he said that if this seems like a good idea to me to go to the Central City Development Council and do a proposal (which is key because I'm the KING of proposals)....they will then point you in the right direction as far as city permits and clearance goes, and then find investors FOR YOU.

All I need is someone with established repoire and power, and that's where this instructor of mine comes in, I just need to ask him about backing me behind it...being sort of my "go to" man if anybody has any questions. I'm going to ask him next week about this.

It's funny, because he told me today that people don't usually think it's within their realm of possibility to do something like this, when actually IT IS and there are investors who are foaming at the mouth to get a piece of the action involved in a monumental project like this. He said all you need are "people" who investors are willing to hire for you to make the right and wrong decisions, you just sit there as their supervisor and take responsibility for anything that goes wrong (which if you contact people who've already done something like this like the Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas...things should go smoothly).

I'm pretty excited and plan to do this in my spare time over the course of the next couple of years.

wouldn't you have to be an architect or something like this to do that?

No, you hire them to do it and you fund their creative process.

Because you need an engineers just as badly as you need architects, soil, wind, weather dynamics, etc.

don't pffft engineers. that's just ridiculous, and you know it.

go to a firm that is well known for large-scale design and also has architects, designers, and engineers in-house. but if you could get a big name firm like SOM i'm guessing you would get much more support, not to mention notority.

That's weird, "Repoire" isn't even in the dictionary. Maybe I spelled it wrong or something.

It's phonetic, enlighten me.
