First listen it's pretty good though. marrs-guitar 09-28-2005, 09:19 AM hmm i havent heard this new one, but i guess gold is my 2nd fave after heartbreaker, though all his stuff since then has been a pale shadow of that; the man needs to learn to edit, every album he's done is weakened by including too many average songs in an overlong record, except rock n rock which just contrains average songs throughout (bar a couple of gems) like this year alone, hes put out cold roses - a double cd - this new one and i've heard there'll be one later in the year, much as i admire his prolific nature he'd do better to edit all this stuff into one truly killer record Quiet 09-28-2005, 09:58 AM Cold Roses was the first Ryan Adams related album I didn't buy. I probably won't buy this one either. I listened to it on his website, and it's pretty good, but it's practically the same thing he's done before. strange_one 09-28-2005, 11:26 AM Gold still ownz them all Rockin' Cherub 09-28-2005, 12:55 PM <3 love is hell Axl Rose 09-29-2005, 06:00 PM I really like Jacksonville, its a lot more interesting and not as long as Cold Roses, know what I'm sayin?!:D TuralyonW3 10-01-2005, 03:29 AM Yeah the new album is pretty great. Tracks 2-5 are an incredible run, esp. the Norah Jones duet. It starts to slack toward the end a little bit though. I was gonna rank his albums, but I realized they are really different and it depends on my mood for which one I listen to. |
