Stag thing for a buddy of mine, I'll post results tomorrow, assuming that no Canadian bookies have broken my legs.

Always fun, I got kicked out of the denny's in niagra once. For some reason they don't like it when you jump on the table and hit poeple in the head with your cell phone. . .

I've done this, but in the reverse order. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. :) :(

yeah i too went to the Niagara casino hammered.I went with a friend who was also on shrooms who thankfully didn't make a scene but did stare at the carpet for what seemed like a half hour. The security people didnt notice at all. it was unpleasant, fortunately i had the hindsight of leaving my debit card at home.

how long does it take from Toronto/hamiton to Niagara Falls by car? Is that like under two hours (from Toronto)? Does anyone know how many kilometeres is that from Toronto to St. Catharine's?

it's a little over an hour...depending on how you drive, and at what time.

Toronto - St. Catharines: 110 km

thank you - I was thinking about going by bike via that trail around Lake Ontario (http://www.waterfronttrail.org/trail.html) to Niagara Falls, if I have like 2-3 days free.

I've been there for the last time in 2000. :(

umm..biking eh...well, that's doable, i assume, but maybe we should do a netphorian trip to Niagara Falls :D Ask Sean Casey, I was a good guide last summer.

Seriously though, if we'd go, we should go in the winter. I like the falls a lot more when everything's frozen..

did you go for that boat trip? ( i just went behind the walls, it was interesting)

maybe we'd be the lucky ones and we will see them all frozen up.

I guess it must be something like Prague - it's also way nicer in winter.

the niagara escarpment is gorgeous- i've hiked through it in Grimsby -it also goes through a little village called "Nemo" which is between Burlington and Oakville that i've been to many times. Niagara Falls is tacky as hell though- i really don't like the downtown portion of it at all. My b/f works there and he said pretty much 75% of the people who he works with sell drugs and a few of them have been jumped after work (dunno if this had to do with the drugs or not :P)

But if you were going to do the nature trails thing, it definitely makes up for the tackiness once you arrive

yeah, in 2000 we went there by car and the road from Niagara-on-the-lake to Niagara Falls was really beautiful - and it wasn't even autumn!
I also found Niagara Falls (town) ugly as hell - the best thing is just to focus on the water (Canadian side) and that's it.

you mean those boats boarded with people have same colour raincoats?

ugh. They were telling me I have to go, but I resisted - it's like...eh. The only 'attraction' I have been to was the walk behind the falls, I liked it, but otherwise...

I really do believe in winter it might be more interesting.

the best thing about the whole trip was the scenery while driving from Niagara-on-the-Lake to Niagara Falls.

I don't even think Niagara Falls deserve all the hype they get. Like sure, it's cool and stuff, but how much of that hype is just because of its location (US/Canada) I don't know...

well, dropped way too much cash at hooters, dropped way too much cash at the rippers, made a small profit on slots/ blackjack, dropped wayyyy too much cash on poker, and dropped wayyyy too much cash on blackjack, and drank too much.

Fun times were had by all.
