of course a lot of radiohead fans here. today i drove to my friends house and was listening to the bends and when i parked i was on bones and almost just sat there and listened to the entire cd, i love these guys.

love em? wanna talk about the new cd, favorite song, album, member whatever?

i usually say amnesiac is my fav, but its almost a tossup between the bends, kid a, amnesiac, and ok comp. pablo honey is underrated but not as good as the rest, and hail to the thief is decent. jonny greenwood is my favorite guitarist and maybe favorite all-around musician, and thom yorke is my favorite vocalist. i love ed, phil, and colin too. cant wait for the new album, ive heard live versions of good morning mr magpie, arpeggi, i froze up, last flowers till the hospital, house of cards, and up on the ladder in anticipation. and apparently there will be a new song on this help album in less than a week online.

think they're overrated and hate them?

feel free.

I really like radiohead although I haven't listened to pablo honey in years and don't really feel any inclination to.

This thread made me think of roses in the hospital by the manics and now I want to listen to it.

im probably not allowed to reply to this, because the poster otherwise known as "Talk Show Host" is none other than my good friend William Gresson, who dwells in Parnell, Auckland, and he has already posted here.

It's not New Zealanders that are the problem, it's solely the friends of daydreamer999. If one of you posts, most of you end up posting. It's an undeclared war of attrition against innocent threads. For the good of all that is pure and good in the world, stop!

will someone kindly tell me why pablo honey seems to be so universally despised? granted, thom's lyrics are often embarrassingly puerile and pablo probably isn't the most musically diverse radiohead effort, but i still enjoy it. Creep, Thinking About You, Stop Whispering, Anyone Can Play Guitar, Ripcord, Blowout...classic oxford-core grunge nostalgia. who can argue with that?

i think this is the case with most radiohead fans in regards to pablo honey. you is amongst my radiohead favorites, i have the mtv performance of just thom and jonny playing, its amazing. that scream he holds around halfway through the song is what seperates him from all other modern day singers. anyone can play guitar, prove yourself, blow out, ripcord, and of course creep are also standout tracks.

just not as good as the rest of the albums, but still a very good album.

ok now for something serious...

i love Radiohead. And i love "Hail to The Thief". Im listening to it right now.
I think they've found a common ground between OK Computer and Kid A with this record.

Amnesiac also kicks ass. I'd listen to Kid A/Amnesiac before Ok Computer any day.

No complaints about radiohead from me.

In the great scummy toilet bowl that is the modern music world:

Shit floats to the top too be noticed,
Piss mingles within and is momentarily acknowledged,
Gold sinks and lurks at the bottom, obscured by the mingling straw yellow piss and free loading shit.

In other words, bands like radiohead (the gold, you see) are very hard to find and are rarely given the credit they are due.

Now I'm off to listen to some busted - coz my mum says I'm cool!

I listen to at least one Radiohead song daily, at least one album / live set per week. Hail to the Thief is in my top five albums of all time, and only the second album which has made me cry upon first listen (though, I don't really know why, it was mainly excitment <3 Sean Casey).

OK Computer is my fifth favorite Radiohead album.

Radiohead have been pretty much a lock as my second favorite band for the past five years. I think Kid A, Amnesiac, and Ok Computer are all interchangable as far as the quintessential album goes. HTTT and The Bends are quality as well. So not only are Radiohead great, but I think they are pretty consistent.
