The light show was good. Woulda been good in an altered state of mind.

I can't complain about the Philly show. Billy had his energy up and seemed like he was enjoying himself.

If he still plays these TFE songs on future tours whether it's with the Pumpkins or not it will be interesting to see how he changes it up.

billy always puts on a good show... regardless of whether its solo, zwan, or pumpkins. and regardless if the music is your favorite.

I think most all of the songs would be cool to hear rocked out (or whatever he is gonna do) with real instruments.

linda said herself that it was the best audience theyd had. they connected well, and billy said shows like that reconfirms his faith in what he does.
though who knows, maybe he said that at all his shows

St Louis was great.

I was standing behind the guy with the "St Louis Rams flag" that he mentioned.

I think you can here me climaxing at the thought of him looking in my general direction on the torrent.

That's because you are gay.

Go back in the Delorean time machine that uses the Flex Capacitor and see any one of the many mailed in Lollapalooza, MCIS, Adore Era or Machina Tour shows. Then you will know the awful truth about your Lord God Billy.

Don't be naive. These shows are about money, not the music or any connection to it.

no. i mean i would have said that no matter what city i was in, just for fun:p

but from what i've heard, it truely was the best. billy was happy, funny, and that made for a good show. everyone after picked up on it. especially after corgan said

"ive taken some strange paths in my life, and im never really sure if they are the right ones, but shows like this prove me right"

or something of that nature, and of course the "pound you into the dust with the metal" comment was awesome.

after that show it seems the tour went down hill, or atleast has some bumps on the road. LA didn't go well and people started to complain about how redundant the concerts were getting. im sure bill was getting bored too.

i was being a smart ass about it being the best, but then again it might have been?

yeah it was one of the best days of my life, it was the firs time id seen him in person. he seemed like he was really enjoying himself. i loved it when he said next time he'd pound us into the dust with metal.
did you stay after the show when he came out back?

is this really a mostly positive thread about TFE?
Christ, I never thought I would see it.

:) it's awesome.

I really regret going to the LA show - not b/c of Billy, but b/c of the fucking losers in the audience who were more interested in their beer & their hipper-than-thou 'tudes.

next time i'm going to wander to another city...

as for you KManXC - I've seen some seriously jaded/cynical/hateful "fans" around here but you are one of the lamest. Try to develop an intelligent reason for why you feel that way & then find some people who actually CARE. In case you haven't been paying attention: many of the people who admire the pumpkins & billy as much as they do put effort into telling everyon 'why'. Your argument is what is "mailed in"... seriously tired & weak shit.
WHY are you here?
Nevermind. I don't give a rats ass.

enough ranting.

for all the folks in St. Louis, I envy you! By all accounts it was THE best stop on the tour... Maybe I'll mosy to that part of the country if he ever tours solo again.
:D

When i said this tour was a doosie, what i meant was all of the drama that surrounded it... the great speeches, stage walk offs, the drama from miss linda.

I loved this show, it was probably the best i've seen the man in live action (went to the boston show). The lights were fantastic, and the songs came across very well in this setting.

I always wonder why you post here when you don't seem to have any attatchment to Billy Corgan or his work.

i caught the DC show, and it was incredible. the band was in fine form, BC was very positive - and he did "hail mary."

the only thing i would have wanted differently were the assholes standing in front of us... but even they left after a while.

BC: "this is the part of the show where i let people scream stupid stuff at me."
guy in front of me: "PLAY SOME PUMPKINS!"

as if on cue.

i went out back for a bit, talked to some fans, caught the dood with the setlist, and checked that out. my girlfriend and i were pretty tired, and we had come from Iowa couple dayz before and had a hotel room. we went back and drank and chilled, it was fun.

i saw billy a few weeks back in chicago for the record release party, so i was ok with not waiting and hour. but of course now i regret it hahaha. it was still awesome tho

and morninglight---do come to a midwest show! we treat the billy with mad respect. fuck LA in their stupid hipster/scenester asses.

i've enjoyed your posts u seem fun, positive and level headed about corgan and the events surounding him, props!!

shucks!

had the pleasure of visiting Chicago once (as mid-west as I've ever gotten mind you) and I had a brilliant time. In the city and when I visited the outlying areas...

awesome that you got to attend the record release party ... i get so jealous every time i hear that!

I waited outside for over an hour in LA... the hardcore fans, maybe 50 of them, were good people. Of course Billy didn't stick around, but hey... I got to see/meet Linda, Matt, & Jimmy... way worth it:D

the party was unreal, however i've heard stories for 8 years now of run ins with corgan or this or that and it sucks cuz all i would be soo jealous! finally it was my time, and now i'm a firm believer that if you stay loyal and put alittle effort into it, you'll meet him.

way to run into jimmy as well! thats way cool. was he as friendly as people make him out to be? did any of the other band members seemed perturbed by the "bad" show?

i am being vigilent in my hopes... i know there are a few people running around who've met him NUMEROUS times... i'll get there one day ;)

Jimmy was very nice - he couldn't stick around, but he did sign some stuff & was friendly with all the fans... moments after he walked to the parking lot, he pulled away in his beemer - no entourage of people... kind of cool. Honestly, no one seemed fazed after the show... except for maybe strawberry's boyfriend... lol - it was obvious he wanted her to himself... maybe Billy too, but i don't know b/c he just flew by the crowd on his way to the bus. Matt was cool too... NO ONE even payed attention whe Brian walked out - I swear more people noticed the opening acts leaving
