View Full Version : What SP Items Do You Own/Like Most?
chsllama 12-31-2002, 04:27 PM Hello.
Basically the question for this lovely ole thread, considering I'd like to read one I find INTERESTING, is what SP Items do you own, or know of in existance, that you like the most? And why do you like these items?
Mine are as follows:
MCIS 7 Plat. Award - soon to be replace by a signed 8 Plat.
-----
Signed SubPop Tour Poster

-----
Providence SilkScreen MCIS Poster

if I think of more, i'll letcha know..
till then, what are your favorite smashing pumpkins collectibles?

Welcome Back Listessa!!!!!!!
The Gaddrow 12-31-2002, 04:47 PM Ok. You win.
That Sub Pop poster is one of the coolest things I have seen in my entire life.
Seriously, I feel like I should give you something for showing it to me. I challenge anyone to present a cooler piece of signed Pumpkin memorabilia.
chsllama 12-31-2002, 04:55 PM I challenge someone to find me darcy so I can complete the farking thing. Maybe then i'll hunt down everyone who ever performed with em..
maybe
tom
The Gaddrow 12-31-2002, 04:55 PM Oh, and my favorites (I really need to take pictures) are:
Signed / personalized Machina Lion Litho
Siva 12"
Tristessa 12"
MCIS subway poster (40" x 60")
Arising! limited edition posterand I have a few lithos from random shows. I forget the date of the Holywood Paladium show in '94, but that one rocks (the one with the ice cream cone).
I have other random stuff which means a lot to me, but nothing which really screams "COOL!" to anyone else.
Did I mention that that poster of yours fucking ownz?
bonsor 12-31-2002, 05:44 PM Limited edition (1 in 2000) hand painted adore promo poster. Got it from Virgin megastore when adore was released, and I got it signed at the same store a year and a half later.

lol, ya know what's odd. I have 3 of em, been trying to unload 2 for like 3 years now.
for some reason that amuses me. the two of us own .0005 percent of them ;)

skippy 01-02-2003, 12:42 AM As has been said, the albums come first and foremost. After that my most cherished Pumpkins posession is my signed Machina litho. It's not particularly rare to be sure but it means so much to me because I was there when the four of them signed it and every time i look at it, it reminds me of that day. :)
SmashingZeppelins 01-02-2003, 04:03 AM Hey Smiley, where did you get that machina promo stand?
I've been wanting one of those (or one from any of their albums).
The only things I really have that I like alot are my rarer vinyls:
Mellon Collie 3LP #3004
Pisces w/7" #1680
Tristessa 12" (German w/ "Honey Spider")
I Am One 10"
Disarm 7"
and all the rest of the regular albums on vinyl as well.
I've been meaning to buy a few others, but have been to busy buying other band's stuff.
I also agree, that Sub-Pop poster is the bomb.
Irrelevant 01-02-2003, 04:50 AM this.
Irrelevant 01-02-2003, 04:52 AM which has these inside and i've posted pics of them before. i have a scanner now if anyone wants to archive them. there's about 40 sheets, mostly typed lyrics (photocopied) with handwritten titles, but some handwritten pages and setlists from the Double Door shows (also photocopied).
Irrelevant 01-02-2003, 04:55 AM and those are followed by this. sigh. sorry for making three posts.

I have that numbered poster. It was like 35 bucks when I bought it, but last time I checked it was worth almost a grand... like I would ever sell it.
It's signed and is from New York 96 February tour dates. It kicks.
As soon as I figure out my digi cam, I'll post a picture of it. It's got death and a kid blowing a bubble on it, and is most strange.

but does anyone know whether it's rare or not?
Irrelevant 01-05-2003, 12:52 PM i picked up an Australian I Am One CD for $4 used once.
it used to be worth a bit (i saw it sell from $80-120 back when i used to watch ebay constantly) but i'm not sure what it's worth any more. either way, i'd say $4 for it was a pretty good deal, huh?
i lifted collectspumpkins' scan of it.
oh yeah, and i have a CR-05 somewhere, i guess that's kind of rare. i don't know what they sell for.
Junebug 01-05-2003, 12:58 PM dude. I feel so uncool now, hahah. But I'd have to say I really like my subway Gish poster and 10.5.88 from the last show. And my pink tristessa vinyl which isn't rare either but I just love it awww. Oh and the blue devil t-shirt. yeah.

Victor_Mancini 01-07-2003, 10:38 PM My prize posession is the acutal receipt of the I Am One Test pressing showing how many copies that were first printed, and signed by James and Billy. I got it from Mike Po himself. :D

I know the one - the Kozik one, right? I met Kozik in London in 1999 and got it-re-signed by him.
And it's worth nowhere near $1000. You can still get 'em

I'll have to look tonight for the barcode, as I'm at work, but the Cat number is (on the cassingle itself) TCHUTC6, and on the box it's just HUTC6. I believe is Australian, but i'm not 100% sure. There is a small possibility that it's a New Zealand only release, but then I've never heard of or seen another.
